The Church of St. Basil the Great is located on the outskirts of the village of Cherche, near the old cemetery. The first mention of the church dates back to the 16th century, but in a different place. The temple was moved to its current location in 1733. The wooden three-frame temple was built in the Boyko style, with exquisite proportions. Several small window openings were made to illuminate the interior space. During the 1970 restoration, the original central tent was returned to the church.
