The area is the center of the ancient quarter of the Armenian community that settled in Kamyanets in the 13th century. In fact, this is not an area, but a wide and short street paved with cobblestones. The address of the square is only houses on the north and south sides. The west side is Starobulvarna Street, the east side is Pyatnytska Street. In addition, Dominican, Hospitalna, Virmenska, Ioanno-Predtechenska and Komendantsky lanes diverge from the square in different directions. Most of the houses on the square are architectural monuments of either national or local significance.
