Almost in the center of Kiev in the lower part of Lesya Ukrainka Boulevard there is a unique place - a museum complex created on the basis of the defensive structures of the Hospital fortification in the system of the New Pechersk Fortress. To my shame, I have never been here, although I have passed by probably hundreds of times. There are two museums here: the Museum of the History of National Fortification and the Museum of the History of the Use of Buildings of the Kyiv Fortress. In addition to museums, you can just walk along the defensive walls, see how the fortress wall and caponiers are arranged, take selfies near the guns of the 19th century and admire the panorama of Kiev.→
