flower clock

Flower anniversary
Ukraine, Kryvyi Rih
The world's largest flower clock was launched on August 22, 2011 in the Krivoy Rog Park of Heroes. The dial, 22 meters in diameter, consists of 22,000 flowers of six types, in the center is the coat of arms of Krivoy Rog. Given the significant size of the arrows, the mechanism provides for a monorail along which they move. The flower clock marks every hour with a musical chime during the daytime, and at night the clock is illuminated. An electronic display above the dial shows the date and air temperature.
In December 2012, a video gallery of the city Museum of Local History was opened in the basement of the clock. Next to the clock are: musical fountain, monument to parents, Monument to Cossack Horn.

Immediately after the opening, the residents liked the clock very much and were the main backdrop for photographs. But after a while, the clock began to decorate not so well. Often the hands stop and the time is displayed incorrectly. They look better in winter than in summer because they are decorated with lights. But still a very original landmark of the city!
