Zhovkva Synagogue is located in the center of Zhovkva, north of Market Square. It was built at the end of the 17th century on the site of a burned-out wooden synagogue. The building in the Renaissance style was part of the city's defensive structures. In 1941, the synagogue was blown up by the fascist invaders, and they began to restore it only in the current century.
