The Privoz market was built in 1827, it was traded mainly in imported goods from wheels (from wagons and trucks), hence the name of the market. In 1913, a special “Fruit Passage” was built to the market. The Privoz market complex also includes two retail and office centers and a complex of shops along Panteleymonovskaya Street. Pryvoz is one of the largest and oldest operating food markets in Ukraine.

Interesting for gourmets
This year I revised my negative impression of this place, as I visited it at a normal pace with clarifications from the locals (LaFifa - thanks! ). Now I liked everything and even managed to photograph the sculptures necessary for inspection.→

Juicy and bright
The atmosphere here still reigns Odessa)) I was struck by this: you approach, for example, cheese - the seller immediately begins to offer to taste, for wine - the same thing, fruit - the same. And this is not the most interesting thing, the juice itself is the amount of the measured product "for tasting": here you can eat even without buying anything! There is a joke about this market in Odessa: A young Jew walks around Privoz and tries everything: he tasted cheese, bit off sausages, pinched off grapes.→

Ah, Odessa...!
One of my acquaintances said that when he arrives in a new country, he always goes to the market, preferably the largest one, because it is there that you can see the spirit of the city and soak up its atmosphere (no matter how it sounds)). Here is such a place! What is most pleasant, as for the buyer, and not just a tourist - very low prices! The sales people are friendly and the food is fresh. Only positive.→
