Skalatsky Castle is located in the city of Skalat, 30 kilometers east of Ternopil. It was built at the beginning of the 17th century and belonged to the Polish magnates Vihrovsky. In the 17th century it was destroyed twice: first by the Cossacks and then by the Turks. At present, four corner towers and gallery tunnels, as well as fragments of walls, remain from the castle. Since the beginning of the 21st century, work has been carried out on its restoration.
