Evpatoria Theater named after A.S. Pushkin

City Theatre. A.S. Pushkin, Pushkin Theater
Crimea, Yevpatoria
Evpatoria Theater named after A.S. Pushkin was built in 1910 according to a joint project of architects Adam Heinrich and Pavel Seferov. The theater is designed in a modernized Greek style, with beautiful sea views from the terraces. Until 1937, the theater was called the city theater, and on the day of the centenary of the death of Alexander Pushkin, it was renamed in honor of the poet. The first production on the stage of the theater was the opera Ivan Susanin by Mikhail Glinka. A few years ago the theater was restored, the auditorium was expanded to 900 seats.
