The castle is very beautiful. The last time I was there was when I was finishing school. Even then I was very impressed by this place and the history of the castle.
The Swallow's Nest is located in the village of Gaspra, 10 km from Yalta. It is often called the most picturesque and romantic place on the entire southern coast of Crimea.

The building was built on the steep Aurora cliff of Cape Ai-Todor - it is like a miniature swallow's nest, almost hanging over the sea.
The second I went not so long ago with friends. The castle itself has not changed. And just as there were no signs on how to get to it, there are none now. You have to ask people or use the navigator. Parking is bad. We left the car far away and walked about two kilometers. When Crimea became part of another territory, the price of entry increased significantly. You can take a tour and see the Swallow's Nest from the ship, it's gorgeous (I highly recommend it). Or from afar, from the observation deck, especially at sunset.
Photos will come out unrealistic super. Entrance to the territory is paid. Inspection of the castle inside, also for a fee. To be honest, there is not much to see inside. (The first time I did not go inside). There are some reproductions and some paintings inside, nothing special. There is still restoration work going on. A lot of merchants near the castle and along the road, barkers. They spoil the view a little, this is a minus. You can buy souvenirs and other garbage, which is a plus. But the prices, as with any attractions, are not cheap.

There are about 600 steps, maybe more, we didn’t count, but it’s decent to walk, so wear comfortable shoes and take some water with you (the prices there are still the same). Narrow path, sometimes hard to miss each other. In the very heat, I do not advise you to visit, the stones heat up, and even hotter. We went in the late afternoon to capture the sunset.

All in all, worth a visit. Beautiful place.
