Zhenets waterfall

Huk Waterfall, Zhenetskyi Huk, Zhenetskyi Huk
Carpathians, Mykulychin
Zhenets waterfall is located on the river Zhanets, a tributary of the Prut, to the west of the village of Mykulychyn, at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level. The locals called him Guk because of the strong rumble emitted by the waterfall - the stream of water falls from a height of 15 meters. The waterfall is very picturesque, and its surroundings are rich in vegetation.

A beautiful waterfall, although it was not full-flowing in August, after a dry summer. It is better to drive as far as possible by car (6 km), and then 0.5-1.5 on foot (depending on where you park). Do not start panicking in advance that there will be no parking later (otherwise, some people start parking 3-4 km from their destination) - just under the very waterfall (or rather, where the hiking trail begins) there are enough parking spaces. But if you are without small children and are not afraid of long walks, then it is better to walk on foot - there is such beauty! Take a snack with you, because after a long walk and pleasant impressions, you really want to have a bite to eat - and there is only one restaurant and, of course, packed.
