For the first trip to Sri Lanka, I definitely recommend Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon 4 - it is located right on the ocean, the hotel pool also overlooks the ocean, and in the evening the lights turn on and you can swim in it. We flew via JoinUp, we were well received and taken to the hotel. The number was given almost immediately, I want to note the unusual spelling of the numbers - they are written on the stone floor near the doors.
