Basic things - the organization of the flight and transfer at altitude. But in non-standard situations - the tourist is not protected. When we were swindled $100 at the hotel, neither the tour operator nor their representatives at the hotel could/wanted to do anything. Moreover, they turned out to be against us, so no one will help you in an emergency situation.
