We have already been to many places, mostly we like to combine excursions with holidays on the coast. Italy, France, Spain, and of course Portugal, all these countries are close and perfectly meet our holiday conditions. The last long trip was to Portugal, we allocated 3 whole weeks for it, it was an unforgettable trip!

We took excursions around Lisbon, swept along the Douro River, from where wonderful views of the cities open up, went to Sintra, we were given certificates of visiting Cape Roca, the view from which captures, it is called the end of the earth. We watched the magnificent palaces, Ajuda and Queluz made a special impression, such magnificence, luxurious forms and decoration. Sculptures covered in gold, a throne room, marble slab floors, and ceilings of incredible workmanship. The atmosphere there is also special, royal.

Regaleira Manor and Palace are beyond praise, this is a magnificent palace and park ensemble, where you can see many romantic styles. On the territory of the estate there is not only a palace, but a wonderful green well-groomed park with lakes, picturesque grottoes, wells, and beautiful fountains, a lovely chapel.

There were many more interesting things, Cascais, Estoril, cute compact Mafra, Porto. Tasting of port wine and elite wines, liked the national Portuguese dinner.

The highlight of our trip was that we stopped along the way in the backs! These are not standard hotels, but accommodation in Portuguese castles. We, like children, even waited for some kind of mysticism, ghosts and reacted to every noise in the evening or at night, it was very cool and exciting!

I am attaching a list of the places where we lived (in each castle literally 1-2 nights)

Pestana Palace Lisboa Hotel (among this luxury you feel like a real aristocrat, part of history, top-level service)

Palacete Chafariz Del Rei (a magnificent place, the decoration of the rooms is thought out to the smallest detail, the staff surrounds with care and attention, a combination of elegance and centuries-old history, at the same time cozy and warm)

Pousada Palacio de Queluz (next to the Queluz Palace, located in the clock tower, it is very pleasant to go out and walk in the beautiful garden of the palace, I really liked the cuisine of the main restaurant, beautiful serving in the style of old traditions)

Pousada Castelo De Obidos (located in Obidos, the royal historical city where we spent three wonderful days, what pleasant memories both from the castle and from romantic walks through the streets of the city)

Palace hotel de Bussaco (we couldn't help but stay in the most famous palace-behind Portugal, both outside and inside there is royal grandeur, the interiors delight the eye, this is a real palace, the chic rooms overlook the colorful park and lake)

Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes (a mandatory condition was that 1 stay was in the monastery, so we ended up in the 12th century Guimaraes monastery. We thought it would be poor, modest, and we would feel life in renunciation of everything worldly, but nothing like that, the monastery turned out to be a luxurious abode for discerning guests, chic decoration, a huge park and comfortable rooms, we were very surprised, we liked everything)

After a rich excursion program, we rested in the Algarve, where we stayed in the most luxurious

Pine Cliffs.

During this time, we fell in love with Portugal and we strongly advise everyone not to doubt their choice.
