Hotel ratings by criteria:
The rooms are quite neat, there are balconies with tables. The room has a TV with a bunch of channels (unfortunately, they were not found in Russian). There is a safe, but mechanical (many other hotels had digital ones), the key must be requested separately at the reception. Otherwise, the stay is very pleasant. We lived on the second floor, in order to get out into the street or go to the reception, we had to wander along the corridors for a long time : ) On the territory there is a good swimming pool, jacuzzi, sun loungers with pedestals and umbrellas. Going down the stairs you can get to the embankment, it is quite long, you can run in the morning. If you go to the left - there is a good rocky beach, a cafe. Don't forget the map! Otherwise, you will not get to the hotel from the embankment, the gate opens with a card, you will either have to shout to the vacationers to open it, or bypass the entire hotel (a rather long way). The food is quite tasty, but for a week it seemed not very diverse. Although every day you can eat quite tasty) Not far from the restaurant there is a bar with a dance floor, every evening you can listen to fado there, or national dance songs (they yell, they beat the drums from the heart, so you can hear them all over the hotel, their repertoire after 2-3 eavesdropping causes suicidal thoughts). Near the reception there is free wi-fi, it works very well, it's a pity it is not in the rooms. There is a library upstairs. There are books-magazines, probably in all languages of the world, and it seems that the visitors themselves bring them here. I managed to find a Russian-Portuguese phrasebook and several detectives by Dontsova : ) There are also two computers in this room, they are terribly slow, the Internet is weak even for checking mail. (Access to the social networks Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki is closed, in my opinion, in all Internet cafes and hotels, since you can get through wi-fi). From the hotel you can sign up for various excursions, their extensive range is on the stands. There is also a bus schedule to Funchal - the "capital" of Madeira. In general, the impression of the hotel is good, but there is something to strive for)
