May 3 Yaroslavl.

The second day of our trip for me began with the smell of coffee. My friend is an “early bird”, and early in the morning she went to watch the weather. Although it was already clear that the sun was outside. But it was necessary to feel the air for coldness. And for such "early birds" in the bar you can drink a cup of coffee for free. But I'm not an early riser, and my friend, knowing that coffee was my weakness, decided to spoil me by bringing coffee to the cabin. On the local radio, they invited those wishing to do exercises and recharge their batteries for the whole day. But somehow it didn't feel like it at all. That is, I wanted cheerfulness (and I had it, because they took a good mood with them), but there was no charge. The cruise is small and you just want to have fun. Summer is ahead and things are just “sea”.

This sunny morning pleased us on the second day of the cruise.

The sun was shining and warming, but it was still cool on the deck. Arriving for breakfast, we were pleasantly pleased with a glass of champagne, for good weather, that's it. We marked the beginning of a nice sunny day. And our dreams came true, bad weather was only in Gorodets.

This is how breakfast met us at the restaurant.

The ship's radio broadcast about the places that sailed by. And the message: ''We are sailing Ponizovkin's castle''. We ran to the deck to look and take pictures. The castle looks great from the river.

The castle looks like a toy.

It begins its history in 1910, exactly when it was built on the site of a former starch and syrup plant in the village of Guzitsino. The plant was founded in 1862, and the construction of the castle began by order of N. A. Ponizovkin, one of the heirs of the merchant family. In 1908 Ponizovkin got married. But even such a beautiful castle did not bring happiness to the young. They've divorced. From this we conclude: happiness is not in wealth.

After a little chat on the deck and having a good time under the rays of the gentle sun. We listened to the neighbors' stories about the castles they managed to visit while traveling around the world at a fairly young age. And for good to envy and rejoice for the guys.

An excursion to the captain's cabin was scheduled for today. Everyone was divided into small groups. Listen to the stories of the captain. They asked questions. But the main thing for all groups was to “buzz” and take a picture in a captain’s hat or at the helm.

We are examining the equipment.

It was far enough to Yaroslavl. Arrival was 14 hours. And again entertainment to choose from, and a new master class. Soap making today. I heard about it, but never did it myself. And again, our young teacher tells and shows what is done and how. The people were inquisitive. There were quite a few who wanted to. The process is quite lengthy. Fantasy played out in earnest. What color, how to make multi-colored, what will be the smell. Probably, if it were not for lunch, and Yaroslavl is on the horizon, they would have been inventing and fantasizing for a long time.

The lesson starts, but the people are still catching up.

Here's what I got. In the evening, when everything dries, it will be clear what happened.

This is our home for the cruise.

Yaroslavl is an old Russian city. Its settlements appeared in the VI century. It is the center of medieval architecture. In 2005, the city center received the status of a historical heritage and was included in the UNESCO list. The founder of the city is Yaroslav the Wise. Many buildings of the 11th-16th centuries have been preserved in the city. Here we are in Yaroslavl land. The capital of the Golden Ring, that says a lot. And again the bus was seated, counted and on the way. Masterpieces of ancient Russian architecture are here at every step. Once these places were considered pagan. The son of Vladimir, who arrived here, defeated the sacred bear and issued a decree on the construction of the city. Thousands of years have passed since then. Usually these words begin all the stories about the city.

We have a review. The first stop is the Church of John the Baptist of the 17th century. The church is located on the territory of Tolchkova Sloboda and was built with donations from Yaroslavl residents. And those who could not make donations participated in the construction. It is considered one of the most picturesque in Yaroslavl, as the best temples of that time were taken as samples.

The tiles are all different.

How do you manage to take a picture of everything? Alas, the device is not capable. Photograph in pieces.

Outwardly, you just can't take your eyes off, such beauty. And inside a little sad, everything needs restoration. But somehow the spirit of that time is felt. I wanted to photograph everything. What next….

And then....

A farewell look and we run on.

We jump on the bus and move towards the city center. Stop at the Yaroslavl Museum-Reserve, it is located on the territory of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery. The museum complex includes several churches, museums, a library and the Spassky Monastery. The complex was formed in 1924.

We are passing by, today it is not fate to see. Let's go further.

After walking a bit around the territory, we went further. And then... we have already been and therefore, at the next stop, we set off for free swimming. For this, a map of Yaroslavl was downloaded and some information that I wanted to see. First of all, I wanted to visit the park on Strelka.

Go to the arrow and take note of everything.

The park is located at the confluence of the two rivers Volga and Kotorosl on a sandy spit. The park was transformed into such a view by the 1000th anniversary of Yaroslavl. Surrounded by singing fountains, in the center of the park there is an obelisk at the base of the figure of Yaroslav the Wise. Also on the arrow rises the Assumption Cathedral. The view of the arrow and from the arrow is just wonderful. Golden domes against the background of clouds are a little alarming. And the wind is just trying to blow us away (just sitting and listening to the singing fountains is not destiny). Or maybe this is a reminder that there is not so much time, but there is still a lot to see.

Those who wish can forge a souvenir for themselves.

This is an arrow. Looks very nice.

Musical fountains. Nice to sit and listen. Music for every taste. From the video of experienced.

We walk along the Volga embankment, it runs along the high bank of the river, the golden domes of churches look through trees that have not yet fully blossomed.

And the famous rotunda on the Volzhskaya embankment, erected in the 17th century at the direction of Alexander I. It was from it that the improvement of the embankment began. I really don't want to go up the stairs. Therefore, we walk along the embankment and head to the theater. Volkov. We only have time to turn our heads so as not to miss anything.

And suddenly a sign opens in front of us in the square - the zero kilometer of the Golden Ring. The monument was erected in 2013 on the day of the city. The Golden Ring is 8 cities. Pointers are fixed on the column, and directions of cities and distances to each. Interestingly equipped benches with coats of arms. And in general, everything is pretty nice.

And these are the cities of the golden ring of Russia.

And, of course, the coat of arms of Yaroslavl.

We move already without any route, at random. There is something interesting around every corner.

We turn our heads and take note of everything.

And where without souvenirs. Small, small, but it was necessary to bring

And just stumble upon a monument to a bear. The bear growls every hour. This is reported by the inscription, so that people would not be afraid. Growling was not heard, late for a minute. But eyewitnesses confirmed: "The bear growled. "

We passed by the chapel of A. Nevsky. The chapel was erected in honor of the salvation of Alexander III. The tragedy occurred when the train crashed.

We pass through such pretty streets.

And, of course, where without the symbol of the city.

Further on our way, the Vasilyevsky Tower and the Znamenskaya Church on the square. F. Volkova. Vasilievskaya Tower - a defensive structure of the 17th century (originally there were six of them) is one of the first stone buildings in the city. Over time, a chapel was added to it, which turned into the Church of the Sign. And now it forms a single complex.

We checked the map. The theater is near. And here on the way is a familiar surname.

We got to the theater, it is surrounded by such pretty houses. We took a picture.

Here is the theater. This is the oldest drama theater in Russia, founded in the 18th century. The history of the theater began with an ordinary barn, where the son of the merchant Volkov staged amateur performances. The first building was built in 1751. The theater was rebuilt several times. And the modern building of the theater was built in 1911. What else to write about, see for yourself.

Tourists are inquisitive and active people, and behind every turn a lot of new and interesting things await them. But time is running fast, and it's time to go to the ship. And here we find ourselves on the Yaroslavl pedestrian street. People call it Yaroslavl Arbat. And the first thing that catches your eye is another monument to the bear.

On the tour they told his story. Honestly, I don’t remember, I just remember that I need to rub my nose. Rubbing did not work - those who wanted the "sea". And, as on any pedestrian street, there are cafes, musicians and, of course, souvenir shops. And what beauty is not there: Yaroslavl tiles, Rostov enamel, Yaroslavl majolica. We don’t go into the store, we look at the windows (we are afraid to hang, looking at all the beauty and fail to sail).

Thus, passing from one masterpiece to another, we get to the central square in the historical part. The Temple of Elijah the Prophet is a monument of the 17th century, which has survived intact to this day. The church was built at the expense of the townspeople. Rich Yaroslavl merchants also made a significant contribution to the construction. The temple is beautiful both inside and out.

And, of course, a map of the route through the historical part of the city. We looked, we realized that we had not seen everything. Well, in general, how it turned out. And then the river appeared. But this is not the end.

On the way to the pier. Governor's house and garden. The manor was built in the 19th century and at the same time the garden was laid out. The mansion was often used by Russian emperors as a travel palace. Since 1970, an art museum has been located on the territory. Entrance to the park is paid. Time is running out. We looked and took pictures from behind the bars.

Provincial house and garden.

Museum ''Music and Time'", Art Museum and something else, but I don't remember anymore. We just go and enjoy and discuss what we see.

. And, Hurray, we see our handsome man (steamboat) !! ! Tired but happy, we go home. It is warm outside, and we are greeted at the entrance with soft drinks. And then a delicious dinner, a glass of wine, and conversations and stories. Everyone went on different excursions. Another concert in the evening. Conclusion of the second day. If we get to Yaroslavl again: we walk on our own and inspect what we have not seen yet.
