We flew there on the evening Avianova flight from Sheremetyevo B (former terminal 1). The terminal, of course, is outdated for a long time, but it still functions. Thank God that, as before, it does not bear the burden of all Sheremetyevo domestic flights. It is now freer and more tolerant. With regards to "Avianov", the carrier made a normal impression. The usual service for a low-cost airline, a good board (A320 with 180 seats, without business in the layout, of course), the only minus is that the seats do not recline at all. Only the first row is acceptable in terms of comfort, but you have to pay extra for it, respectively.
We flew back on a night flight of the same airline, which she delayed, which is why instead of 00.55 we arrived at 02.30. This, of course, contributed to the final opinion about the carrier.
On the way from the airport to the hotel, we noted that the roads in the city are bad. Not all, but in general.
Regarding a taxi: to / from the airport (from / to the center), it should cost 500 rubles. Will offer more, bargain.
In Kazan, we stopped at the Hills Hotel (10 Aivazovsky Street) on the advice of friends who had already stayed there. The price is the most democratic of those that were on the market on these dates (1600 r per day for two). This money even includes breakfast (toast, a piece of Hochland, a piece of cake + tea), which is not so hot, but it will help not to faint in the morning.
Attractions. In addition to the Kremlin complex, which, by the way, deserves all kinds of praise (more detailed information about it, including photographs, etc. , is a lot on the net) there is nothing to see in the city (the subjective opinion of the author), unless you are a fan of museums. From our point of view, one day is enough to get to know the city.
Our friend, a local resident, suggested a good restaurant to us, which we were delighted with later. This is the Rubai restaurant (Uzbek cuisine) on Profsoyuznaya street. Gorgeous kitchen and interior. For a very plentiful lunch / dinner for four, we left 4000-5000 tr. There are separate tables and 4 VIP booths with small deposits (600 - 1500 r, they already include tea, nuts, raisins, etc. on the table). We advise you to take the cabins. Service is top notch.
As for nightlife, we were advised (by local friends) by the three best clubs: State 51, Hermitage and Luxor. We were in the first one. We didn't like it much. High price tag and very diverse audience. Only club security is at the level (they check very carefully). Perhaps by local standards, it is top-notch, we left after half an hour and are unlikely to ever return.
In total, this trip cost 20.000 rubles. Once again, we conclude that domestic tourism is more expensive than outbound tourism. He once again proved to us his unattractiveness and failure.
