Amazing Syria
I thought for a long time where I could go - where it would be interesting and not trivial and not very expensive. In the end, I chose Syria.
Read a lot before making a decision. BUT it turned out that on the Internet there is only 30-40% of the information that this country really deserves.
There are also historical "ruins", but in super condition (Rome and Greece still have to build and build)! Moreover, they can be white, and yellow and black... it depends on the area and the materials from which our ancestors built them. In addition, there are many Christian shrines here, the history and the present day of which are truly amazing. I don’t speak about the castles of the Crusaders, oriental bazaars, amazing temples at all... As a result, there are only pluses and positive emotions.
What is also very important is the absence of beggars (which is not very typical for Eastern countries) and security at any time of the day.
They say that a couple of years ago a handbag was stolen from foreigners here... So the thieves were caught and their hands were chopped off in the square in front of everyone... Since then, at least leave a pack of dollars on a stump . . no one even looks . . Although there are small cons. The kitchen, frankly, does not shine with variety. Although street fresh buns and shawarma . . this is something !! ! : )
