I visited Syria this year, in particular in its capital Damascus. I was very impressed with the Shahrayar hotel where we stayed for two nights. This is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Old Damascus among its crooked streets.
I thought for a long time where I could go - where it would be interesting and not trivial and not very expensive. In the end, I chose Syria. Read a lot before making a decision.
The Ebla Cham Palace Hotel is located between Damascus and the airport (I think 10 km each way). Has the status of a five-star. It is a massive building surrounded by a garden.
