Meals "breakfast" is fully consistent with the level of the hotel. Toasts, cereals, milk, jams, sausages, fried eggs. Everything is as it should be in such hotels.
This hotel is more for a relaxing quiet holiday. It is not suitable for gourmets and those who want to try exotic seafood dishes.

I put in a seven. I must say right away that I did it with an eye on very pretentious clients. I myself am not one, minor misunderstandings and imperfections on the part of the servants do not upset me. Therefore, in general, you can put the highest rating. I got everything I needed from a vacation there - clear sea, delicious food, massages, fruits, polite staff and many other nice things.
Rested three of us with two sisters of her beloved husband. The maids somehow couldn't figure out that there were three of us, that we needed three towels of each kind, and that two women were sleeping on the double main bed and needed separate sheets for covering. Every evening (if we were out during the day), we went to the reception and reimbursed the losses))). If during the day during the cleaning we were nearby, then the issue was easily resolved on the spot. But they laughed hard each time. After cleaning, everyone rushed to the room to count the towels, it greatly entertained us))))).
Concluding, I want to say that if you want to have a good REST, this hotel is for you, friends. It doesn’t matter if you like parties or this time you don’t need it and you want to spend your vacation in a romantic or calm atmosphere. The hotel has all conditions for relaxation. If you want to move - welcome to Chaweng, 50-150 baht (depending on the time of day and number of people) and tuk-tuk will take you to the very heart of the abyss of entertainment)))). Have a good rest to everyone, regardless of the choice of hotel!

First time we went to Thailand. We decided to go to Koh Samui after reading everything on the Internet. The route was developed on the Internet in detail before the trip. We decided to go to Koh Samui after reading everything on the Internet. The route was developed on the Internet in detail before the trip. We flew to Bangkok, then by plane to Surat Thani, by bus to Donsak port, by ferry to Nathon, from Nathon by taxi for 400 baht to Samui Yacht Club. The opposite is easier: by plane directly from Koh Samui to Bangkok and home.
I liked the hotel very much: a large green area, a good bungalow with air conditioning, a refrigerator, a bathroom, a TV, a mini bar.
There was free WI-FI in the room, the access code was taken at the reception. Towels were changed every day. there was no shortage. Bed linen was also changed regularly. The staff is friendly, pool with jacuzzi and sun loungers around it.
The breakfasts are excellent, for 15 days they are not tired.
Food is more expensive inside the hotel than outside. We ate lunch in the hotel restaurant only once on the day of arrival. And so they mostly had lunch and dinner at the Baan Lamai cafe, a three-minute walk from the hotel towards Lamai Beach. The owner Kla is very friendly, we went to him thanks to the review read here on the site (thanks to the author! ). By the way, he also has a bike rental for 150 baht, in other places for 200 baht. It’s bad without a bike, you can go broke on tuk-tuks. And so independently traveled all over the island, refueling quite rarely.
The hotel is located between Lamai Beach and Chaweng Beach in a very picturesque bay, there are a couple of beautiful hotels next door. Swimming in the bay is not very convenient, there are a lot of stones, once, swimming in a mask, I saw a healthy hedgehog with large needles between the stones - quite unsafe. But having a scooter, we went to Lamai beach without any problems 5-10 minutes on the way (the same to the gas station, Tesco Lotus shopping center, night market in Lamai, etc. ). Although the beach near the hotel is not very suitable for swimming, but if we gather again on Koh Samui, we will still stop, I think, in this hotel, since there were no negative moments.

A few words about the bay.
It is small, fenced with boulders on both sides, so you will not see any sellers of crabs, shrimps and other goodies. There were also few people at first. When the sea is restless, it is better to enter it from the side of the Crystal Bay hotel - there the bottom is practically without stones. In good weather, when the sea is calm, the bottom can be seen very well and the stones can be bypassed. The bay is very suitable for families with small children. From the edge of the shore to a depth just above the knee there is a clean mirror bottom and children can splash in the water, then there is a series of pitfalls and even adults, and even more so children, do not dare to go along them. In these stones live black lively fish that guard the territory. There are also small white fish and somehow even a squid swam in shallow water.
The water is clear, especially in the morning. By evening, it heats up to the temperature of fresh milk and vacationers in shallow water wallow for hours. But in the bay, the sun quickly hides behind the mountain and disappears completely at 16-00.
When the new moon began, the tides began to ebb. But it is difficult to call it low tides, the water leaves a maximum of 2 meters, and in the morning it returns.
With the advent of low tides, the number of people coming from other hotels has increased dramatically. Here are the most inconspicuous low tides seen in 10 days on Koh Samui.
This hotel has its own restaurant and is located on the beach. Prices are, to put it mildly, not cheap. Therefore, if you want to eat without leaving the city, I recommend going to the Silver Beach restaurant - there are a lot of places, and the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. On average, lunch for two went for 400 - 500 baht.
The bay is wonderful and if next time I go to Koh Samui, then only here. Have a great holiday everyone : ))))

We rested at the Samui Yacht Club in April 2008. To be honest, we are very choosy and picky about the place and quality of rest, we rested in the Maldives, Bali, the Dominican Republic, and this time we decided to visit Thailand. After reading all the reviews of tourists on this hotel on the Internet, and the reviews were mostly negative, we still took a chance and did not regret it a bit! Comparing the quality of rest, comfort and local nature, I would compare Samui Yacht Club with a holiday in the Maldives.
I want to say right away that the Samui Yacht Club hotel is conducive to a calm, romantic vacation, as well as a vacation with children. It is located in a small beautiful bay between the two busy beaches of Lamai and Chaweng. You can walk along the coast only within the bay, as the bay is surrounded by huge beautiful boulders.
White sand, emerald water and palm trees - what else do you need to relax! The bungalow is quite spacious. Since the hotel is small, all the bungalows are located almost on the beach. From all bungalows to the beach on foot 1-2 minutes. But I advise you to choose a bungalow either on the beach or with a sea view, there are practically no differences. Linen is changed every two days, towels, both beach and shower, are changed every day early in the morning. Room cleaning is carried out quickly and at a convenient time for you. The area is very green and clean with many different fountains. In the morning there are low tides, but they do not interfere with swimming at all. In the left part of the bay, low tide never reflects in depth, and in the central and right parts of the bay there are several "natural pools". There are no sun loungers on the beach, only by the pool, and they are not needed, because it’s nice to just lie on the sand, and I repeat that the bay is so picturesque that you just don’t want to lie down, you always want to take a walk. Directly on the beach under a huge shady tree is a "massage parlor". Those. masseuses right on the beach, in the fresh air, to the rustle of waves and the singing of birds, will give you any massage at the lowest prices, you can say a penny compared to the prices in local SPA centers, which are recommended to visit by meeting guides.
If you want to get a rest from the bustle of the city, shops, cars, but only complete relaxation and enjoyment of the picturesque tropical nature, then I recommend the Samui Yacht Club hotel. The hotel occupies half of the bay and has one restaurant and bar overlooking the beach, swimming pool, playground and wonderful clean beach. In the rest of the bay there are three more hotels, also with restaurants for free visiting, but they do not interfere with the rest at all. In the hotel restaurant, food is prepared for every taste and, of course, there is Thai cuisine and an abundance of fresh seafood, everything is on the menu. But if you want to eat more sophisticated dishes, for example, fresh lobsters or oysters, you will have to order them a day in advance. The prices are absolutely the same as in any restaurant in Chaweng or Lamai, so you can dine in a hotel restaurant without any infringement, and a big plus is that you don’t have to pay right away, you just need to sign a check and that’s it. You can pay by credit card immediately for everything when leaving the hotel. But for a change of rest, for dinner I advise you to leave the hotel. To Lamai, Chaweng or Fishermen's Village - it's up to you, it's good everywhere, there are no radical differences. All restaurants abound with fresh seafood, which will be cooked in front of you and for you as you wish. In an average restaurant, a dinner for two with seafood, salads and beer will cost you about 500 to 2.000 baht. The price of dinner depends on the assortment and quantity ordered.
You will have to get to the central busy parts of the island only by taxi or local minibuses with the colorful name "Tuki-Tuki". These minibuses are semi-open safari jeeps, and run from the northern part of the island "Fishermen's Village" through Chaweng to Lamai, thus past our hotel. You won't have to wait long for "Tuki-Tuki", they flicker along the road in both directions every 3-5 minutes. The droga to Lamai will cost you 50 baht per person and takes 5 minutes, to Chaweng is a little more expensive, from 70 to 100 baht depending on the time of day, the price increases after 22-00 and takes about 15 minutes. If you wish, you can rent a scooter or a car, but you should remember that traffic in Thailand is left-handed, and in the event of an accident, all the blame is awarded to the tourist.
Now a little about excursions. All trips are for every taste, so I will only talk about those that I highly recommend.
The excursion to the Temple of the Big Buddha also includes a fruit market, where you can buy delicious exotic fruits for prices that are significantly different from those in Moscow. Elephant riding, 20 minutes is enough for such a novelty. Visit to the Temple of the Mummified Buddha. You will be shown how the local monkeys deftly collect coconuts. And, of course, the local attraction is the stones "Grandma and Grandpa", there is nothing special in the stones, but the market, which is located at the foot of these stones, is very interesting and replete with local souvenirs in such a variety that you will not find such a choice anywhere else on the island you won't find. Therefore, if you want to pick up souvenirs, I recommend buying them at this particular market during this tour. The whole tour takes half a day, very lively and tireless.
Excursion to the national park - for the whole day. You will see the archipelago, consisting of 42 islands, and also the extraordinary beauty of nature. On the island where you will stop for lunch, there are two observation platforms, one is at a height of 100 meters, and the second is 500 meters. We only climbed the 100m. The view that opened before us is indescribable, we saw this only on the glossy avenues of Thailand. I highly recommend climbing both sites, and I think you will not regret it. On another island, you will be shown the "Emerald Lagoon" - for this it is worth climbing to the very top along the steep steps and enjoying the view of the entire archipelago. I recommend!
And I will also mention one excursion - this is the “Transvestite Show”. The trip is two hours starting at 22-00. The show itself lasts an hour, but such colorful costumes and an exciting show that at least once in a lifetime, but it must be seen. All other excursions are up to you.
And in conclusion, I want to say: 12 days for such a vacation is not enough, only 15 days. Do not believe any weather forecast on the Internet, it is almost always sunny on Koh Samui, it can rain for 15-20 minutes in the evening, you will not even notice it. If you can choose an air carrier, then I advise you to choose Thai Airways for a flight to Thailand. When booking a tour, I recommend choosing a day in Bangkok and only on the way back. In Bangkok, I recommend visiting the Royal Palace, because you just have to see this beauty with your own eyes. And the Oceanarium, which we did not want to leave for 4 hours.
And the rest - everything is in your hands, enjoy your vacation and a pleasant trip to KOH SAMUI!
