Rest in Avalon Hotel, Pattaya
April 15-25.2013 v.
Rested with the company "Biblio-Globus". The hotel was chosen based on reviews on the Internet, and never regretted it. Very good hotel, cozy, pleasant in all respects. Great location. Near the right side of the hotel "RABBIT RESORT". The sea is nearby. By the way, the sea was quite clean, we ourselves were surprised - not the first time in Pattaya. We swam in the sea at the hotel and felt great. Sunbathing by the pool. There is free Wi-Fi both on the territory of the hotel and on the beach (at the hotel you need to ask the password at the reception). I liked that you can easily get to the city by tuk-tuk - for only 10 baht. Excellent room (Deluxe, pool view) - cozy and spacious. Cleaned up, staff friendly and smiling. I really liked the breakfasts - delicious and varied, only 6 types of fruits. There was really a small assortment of pastries, but we didn’t seem to come here for this. Soups every day of two or three kinds, there was even borscht, but I didn’t try it - I pressed the mushroom soup puree. Potato every day in some other form.

The pool is of sufficient size and depth, although diving probably will not work - in the deepest place the water reached my chin, probably the depth was 1.5 m. There is a children's pool.
During our stay in Thailand, New Thai 2556 was celebrated. In Pattaya, it was celebrated from 11 to 19 April. Before the trip, we read about this holiday, we were a little horrified, but we decided not to endure the trip, but to see everything with our own eyes. Both Thais and tourists (especially foreign ones) celebrate with special enthusiasm. My husband and I, in order not to be doused with water, developed guerrilla skills in order to get around the celebrating company in time with water cannons or transboyts, or buckets and ladles, or simply run away. On the first day, all this is fun, then it starts to strain, to be honest. They pour water everywhere - both in the center and on the outskirts, both during the day and in the evening. The most vulnerable these days are tuk-tuk passengers. While you are driving, from both sides of the road you will be doused dozens of times with both cold water and warm, or even icy water. And of course you should have fun, because this is how they wish you happiness. My husband and I once went to the fruit market on a tuk-tuk and arrived over the ears happy, my leather sandals then dried for 2 days. But with us in a tuk-tuk, an American with a Thai woman rode, they had water cannons, and every time they poured water on us all from the road, they also “wetted” them. I hope they avenge us too. People are trying to go on excursions these days, but for example, on April 18 it was impossible to do this - not a single excursion was scheduled for that day - the Thais simply did not work and did not take anyone anywhere. Although the restaurants were still open. But my husband and I decided that we would never go to Pattaya again until April 20th.
From excursions at the B-Globe they took a trip to the river. Kwai, Orchard (free), X-show for adults, pirate ship. In principle, I liked everything, but something happened to the pirate ship all the time - we already thought that we would not get to the shore. We ourselves went to the 3D art gallery - it's just great, I really liked it. There is nothing to do without a camera. Surprised by the absence of our Russian people in the gallery. It's really interesting there, the mood is super. I advise!! ! Especially with children. We read about the gallery on the Internet. Located next to the Alcazar show.
About weather. April is considered the hottest month in Pattaya, during the day the sun really burned up to +35, +37, but in the evening it was wonderful, no stuffiness, wind from the sea - you can’t imagine better for lovers of walks under the moon. There were rains, but infrequently. In Pattaya we don't usually suffer from rain.
