To begin with, I am a completely adequate person and describe the objective reality of our time. In the already beloved corner of the globe, my beloved Thailand, I flew 5 times. In the first 8 days out of 12, everything was wonderful! Beautiful sea, delicious food, chic excursions. And everything would be fine if not for one unfortunate incident, which in the end was not accidental and changed my attitude towards Thailand and the people living there.
And my story began with the fact that once again returning from an excursion to us: me, my husband and 2 of our friends, I wanted to drink fresh juice. And having stopped the car near the All seasons hotel, we went to the tent, which was 5 meters from the hotel and asked for 3 fresh juices: 2 with ice and one without. My friends were given 2 full glasses of watermelon juice, but I was only half full. I say to the juice seller: why is the glass only half full? She answers me: this is the portion (in English).
To which I, smiling, ask me to add a little more, since my friends have a full glass and I won’t get drunk with it. She repeats like a parrot: this is your portion, take it. I say thank you, but I will not take it and start to leave. This woman, like a distraught screaming, throws this glass in our faces. My girlfriend's husband, having reacted, throws his glass on the roof of the tent, and what happened next in my memory is like a frame-by-frame shooting. From somewhere, a man of Thai appearance ran out, grabs my girlfriend by the hair, since she was the last one in our company, and starts kicking her in the head and back, the friend’s husband pushes the Thai away and then out of nowhere a whole bunch of them come running. And they just start beating everyone up! I have never seen such aggression and was very scared. I ran to the hotel for at least some help shouting help, help! But there were no guards or attendants at the hotel! Running up to the reception, I tell the girls: we are being beaten! Help!

call the tourist police. They are calm like elephants pretending not to understand what I am talking about. Although everything is fine with me in English (the education of a referent translator is behind me). I'm completely bewildered and run back to see what's going on there. At this moment, 2 Thais literally climbed on my husband and kicked him, and he can’t even answer because there were 2 shopping bags in his hands, for which we spent a lot of money, there were valuable and fragile things. I literally begin to drag him away and at that moment a woman with a huge cleaver for chopping coconuts flies out at me from behind the counter! Screaming simply from horror: run! We ran to the hotel. Our friends in this whole brawl got their expensive video camera smashed. Not to mention the beatings and moral damage. I want to note that we were completely sober and sane.
As a result, after much persuasion at the reception, we persuaded the girls to call the police, as now they were afraid to go outside, outside the hotel. Meanwhile, as if nothing had happened, two of our offenders enter the hotel and approach the reception, start screaming and waving their arms. We ask to remove strangers from the hotel, but this does not happen, we move back. And after 10 minutes of monologue, they leave the hotel. My friend just sat and sobbed, the men rushed from corner to corner around the hotel, and I called Tez Tour, the company that saw us off and met us. After talking about the situation and calling the hotline of this company, we were told that they understood everything, but they could not help us in any way. We were shocked! Where to run? What to do?

As a result, after waiting for 2.5 hours, the police nevertheless arrived. 2 police officers come into the junction and come to the reception, they talked something in Thai and they look at us.
We communicate with them, trying to tell our situation, but they say that they do not know English. Not the first time I travel to Thailand, I still made Thai friends and called a girl who worked in a Thai travel company. After explaining the situation, we asked her for help. And she, in turn, asked her friend, an interpreter and an employee of the airport in Phuket, to help us deal with the police. After talking with the police, we found out that they want us to go with them to the station in order to draw up a report. I decided to consult the Tez-Tour hotline, they told me that this should never be done, that the police would never be on the side of strangers and would do everything to support their citizens. You also need to go to a Thai hospital and remove the beatings. The police left, the men and my friend went to the hospital to shoot the beatings. And I stayed at the hotel to keep the defense.

But I kept her sitting in the closet of the room with the lights off, crying and trembling with fear. Now everything seems so simple and clear, but then, it was really awful! ! ! ! For the first time in my life, I was afraid for my life. After sitting in the closet for 2 hours, I still waited for my husband. I didn’t sleep well, to be honest, waking up and tossing and turning, I barely made it to 6 o’clock in the morning. We got up, had breakfast and went to the sea to the rocks, where there are no tourists and complete peace and solitude. We did not want to return to the hotel at all, so we spent the whole day at the sea. And thank God! We were lucky!
