Phuket is now one of our favorite places, thanks in large part to this lovely hotel. The hotel is fully consistent with 4 *. The territory is small, but everything is very colorful, picturesque. Very important - the beach on site. Hotels in Patong (the center of the island, where all the entertainment is close) have a beach across the road, and it looks not at all attractive - stomping with things across the highway and back.
The room has a safe, mini-bar, TV, serviceable (! ) air conditioning. Cleaning is carried out in a timely manner and discreetly, linen is changed every day. The view of the pool is, of course, more cheerful than the view of the garden. However, companies gather at the pool at night and can make noise until the morning under the windows and swim noisily, despite the darkness. Tourists, mainly from Russia, China, Germany - all are quite calm and can scold people having fun at night from the balcony (mostly, of course, Russians).
Massage is done under a canopy near the beach. Pretty good quality, nice, but nothing out of the ordinary.

You can go to the city to the spa, where the services are more diverse, but twice as expensive.
The sea is the most gentle and warm in the world! We were lucky, there were no jellyfish, but they say there are influxes. The water is not very transparent and silvery, as if bath gel was poured - these are accumulations of plankton - very unusual and beautiful! The sea is very salty - it is difficult to dive, it stings your eyes. I do not dive, but just snorkeling (with a mask and tube) in Egypt is more interesting.

Many come with children, despite such a difficult flight. There is a nutrition problem with children there, because the local cuisine is VERY spicy (what we considered spicy before the trip to Thailand is not considered spicy there at all), besides, not all children will eat seafood. So mothers try to feed their kids with lean rice, buns and bananas.
Of course, children are very interested there: where else will baby elephants or monkeys walk along the beach, eat a banana from their hands, a lot of fruits, a very gentle sea, smiling people ...but personally, I recommend taking at least schoolchildren, not kids.

The buffet at the hotel is not very varied, but quite sufficient for a hearty breakfast. Many different fruits, natural juices, but few pastries and meat. You don’t have to dine at the hotel - you can have a bite of different fruits on the beach: amazingly delicious pineapples, watermelons - everything is cut so beautifully, cocktails are just the highest class - from a movie about a paradise vacation! Dinner at the hotel is prepared in the same kitchen, although served in a different restaurant - quite expensive! If you walk to the nearest restaurant (100 meters from the hotel), you can have an average dinner for $50 (two glasses of wine, some Thai soup, hot). It is necessary to warn that they cook "not spicy! " (Not spicy! ).

Do not be too lazy to repeat this several times and confirm with gestures if you are worried about your stomach! The menu in some restaurants is Russian, which sometimes needs to be asked. Knowledge of English within the school course is enough to read the menu and ask and understand the essentials, as the Thais are VERY friendly and patient people!

To the right of the hotel beach there is a wonderful restaurant "Alex and Luna". Luna is the owner of the restaurant. The decor is extremely simple, relatively clean by Thai standards, but the food is very good! And the prices are within reason. There is always fresh, freshly caught fish, squid, lobsters, oysters. It's all so fresh and amazingly delicious, and when you eat it all outdoors, by the sea, and the evening tide is creeping up to the table - just the feeling of falling into a fairy tale!
The pharmacy tried for a long time to get aspirin and something for heartburn. They could not even buy drinking soda and iodine - it is very difficult to explain, the sellers in pharmacies do not know English and it seems that they do not know the Latin names either. The cold was cured with the medicine "Ambufen", an analogue of which we still cannot find in reference books. Perhaps someone will come in handy ...In the hotel shop you can buy pads, adhesive tape and condoms.

About excursions. I regret that I did not get to night fishing because of my cold. Really like. Excursions to Phi Phi, James Bond Island, a canoe trip - I liked everything, the nature of amazing beauty. Although the ride on a speedboat is long and painful - I do not recommend settling on the bow - the whole backside will be bruised.
Russian guide on the island - one girl Inga. How she copes is unclear, in my opinion, no way.
We managed to meet her by chance in the lobby of the hotel, she gave a telephone number for communication, on which we never managed to agree: either she is on another island, or she is sick, or something else. The second time we saw her again by accident, she managed to scold us and snort dismissively towards our local guide...

We had to organize the excursions ourselves. There is a travel agent counter "Jo-Jo Tour" on the beach of the hotel. The owner, he is a guide Thai Jo-Jo. Boyko speaks English that everyone can understand, with local grammar. Like all Thais are extremely friendly and open. He organized all excursions quickly, clearly, without a single overlay, made discounts in the price. You can arrange with him to go to Patong just like that, for shopping (he will tell you everything, he knows all the shops, including cheaper alcoholic ones), to restaurants (he took us to a very simple restaurant on the shore - mind-blowing ate lobsters and lobsters! !!
) and to a very decent restaurant hanging over the shore, where a long, long staircase goes to the sea and is lost in the dark - impressive! Unfortunately, I can not reproduce the Thai names, but I think if you ask Jo-Jo, he will understand.
We went with him to the cashew nut factory, were surprised when we realized that they were nuts! In the local zoo, they also saw a show of elephants, monkeys and crocodiles. We rode elephants through the rubber grove. At the show of transvestites (you can watch for a set of impressions, but personally I don’t have a very pleasant feeling). We walked along Bangla Road - the local Red Light District (Amsterdam, compared to Bangla Road, is just a dignified and noble place). We visited the local Thai boxing championship - I highly recommend it, colorful and unforgettable!
Excursions Jo-Jo organizes in mixed groups, that is, from different countries. This means that the accompanying guide speaks English and there may no longer be Russian tourists in the group.
This did not bother us, although Thais speak English in a very peculiar way, but it is easy to get used to and understand too. Even if you do not know the language at all, you will not get lost.
I don’t know what it is connected with, but we quickly became friends with Jo-Jo, got to know his family and were even invited to a family dinner before leaving. In general, very pleasant informal relations have developed, despite the fact that of the four of us, only I speak English tolerably well.

Be vigilant and follow the simple rules of hygiene! Do not drink raw water and do not even rinse your mouth with this water! Beware of colds due to air conditioners, if you get sick - be treated in a timely manner. Wash fruits very carefully! Arriving home, I underwent diagnostics and found out that I had brought a whole zoo of all kinds of microbes, bacteria and fungi! Basically everything but the worms. Cured, of course, but I understand that I was imprudent.

And, of course, dear ladies, do not go to Thailand in a state of pregnancy and do not carry babies!
After Thailand, I can't eat pineapple and seafood - everything that is sold in shops and served in restaurants is not typical!!!!!
Thailand is just a fabulous place.. .
