Thailand is a must see if possible! Thais are very kind people. We rested in April, we were lucky with the weather, there was not much rain. The hotel, for several reasons, certainly does not pull on 4 stars, but you can relax there well. The reasons are old linen and towels, partially broken sunbeds and there are not always enough of them by the pool. Breakfast at the hotel is sufficient for everyone, there is a choice, you will not stay hungry. The beach is very good, clean, the sea is magnificent. I recommend to exchange the first money exchange immediately at the airport and at least 500 USD.
Do not count on shows and animation, it is not there, only if in a nearby Hotel. In general, you will have to go to Patong for entertainment, 25 minutes. taxi ride costs 500-600 baht one way. Always bargain! In the neighboring hotel Sunwing Resort there is a small market, an ATM and the Internet there is 2a times cheaper. Big supermarket and local market in 15 min. walk from the hotel or 100 baht by taxi one way.
We highly recommend using the services of an atelier. They sew just great! And cheap.
You can eat on the beach at the hotel, there are many different "restaurants", we liked Alex and Luna. Delicious and not expensive.
