It was the first time in Thailand. We chose the hotel based on good reviews and reasonable price for us. Of the minuses in the reviews about the hotel, they drew attention to the fact that tourists were unhappy with the monotonous breakfasts, but this can be experienced, so the choice was made on it. From the airport to the hotel about 40 minutes by bus. The hotel is located in the city center, around a lot of cafes, massage parlors, shops, the location is very good.
About the hotel: the room was quite normal, clean, but you can’t go out onto the balcony, it carries stench from the garbage dump. The windows overlooked the neighboring hotel, so in the evening the windows were mostly covered with curtains. It was quiet at night.
Towels were changed regularly, shampoo, shower gel, etc. were put on. Bed linen was changed once a week. There is a TV in the room (no Russian channels), a refrigerator (two cups of water were put in every day), but there was no hair dryer, but you could take it at the reception for a deposit of 300 baht. The safe was free and the beach towels were changed every day at the reception. There is no entry fee.
Service at the reception: they do not speak Russian, English is easy. As already mentioned, apparently the hotel is owned by a Turk, they constantly saw either him, or it was the hotel administrator, he spoke Russian. There were no problems, so we did not communicate with him. Breakfast is the same as described. Of the fruits, pineapples and watermelons, but you still need to have time to take them in time. The rest is standard: sausages, eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, muesli, cheese, sausage, toast with mango jam were especially loved. Near the hotel there is a market - Plaza Market, which comes to life after dark (from about 18:00). Everyone comes with their carts, where you can buy sushi (so-so), try crocodile (delicious), fruit, and any other meat, fish and shrimp. Also liked the pancakes with chocolate and bananas. There is also a small clothing market, but the prices bite. About the massage parlor - I really liked the Lotus massage, the prices are lower there (Thai massage - 250 baht), the staff is pleasant and the salon itself is clean. To find it, you need to leave the hotel, turn left and walk to the road, cross it and straight ahead the salon in front of you. They sell latex products at the entrance and there is an aquarium with fish. If you stand facing the massage parlor, on the left, after a couple of meters, practically opposite the Plaza Market, the Russian tour agency "Orange" will be located (on the corner of the street). Since we compared prices, and Orange turned out to be the cheapest, we took all the excursions from them. The tours were great! ! I advise you to take excursions on the street, almost everyone does this.
About the cafe. Right next to the "Orange" there is a Russian cafe "Marusya", the prices there bite and are not very tasty. I recommend another one, at Armen's, everyone probably knows him there. Finding it is easy - again, turn left when you exit the hotel, reach the road (walk 30 seconds), turn right, reach the intersection (another 30 seconds) and cross to the other side. There you will see a small establishment with the inscription "Kolobok" and a yellow smiley will be drawn. There are normal prices and very tasty (we ate dumplings, manti, chicken soup and drank just incredible kvass). What surprised me the most was that it tasted like home! ! Also, if you get to this intersection and turn right and walk for 2 minutes, there will be just a great cafe called Lemongrass. It looks small and open. They have great prices and very tasty and most importantly, large portions))). Only at the end of the trip we discovered this place and we were just drawn to eat there)). Go to places where there are a lot of tourists, this means that the place is good. Dishes can be found for every taste, there were few spicy ones. Only once I ate spicy, we tried Tom yang soup (that's what it's called). All cafes are aimed at visiting them by tourists, so there are not many spicy ones on the menu.
If you walk further along the same street, from the Kolobok cafe, then there are already quieter streets and there are many establishments for the locals themselves. There, we found a pharmacy nearby, where prices are much lower than in pharmacies on the main streets. I wanted to buy something from cosmetics, but it is just sold only in pharmacies. We did all our shopping there. So, as a conclusion, do not be afraid to go further from the main streets, where you can buy cosmetics, souvenirs and fruits a little cheaper.
You can exchange money at every step, just take a walk and compare the rate. They said that it is more profitable to change in the morning.
Beach: 15 minutes walk to the beach. It turned out to be cleaner than I imagined, but crowded. Rent for the day of two sunbeds 200 baht. Only if you are going to go somewhere, it is better to leave something on the sunbed (not very valuable, just in case, so that you don’t feel sorry) and warn the landlord that you will return))). The beach is quite clean, but we almost did not lie on sunbeds. We bought a plastic lounger for 120 baht and sat on it under a palm tree, but I don’t think everyone will like it, given that some spend the whole day on the beach. We didn't spend much time there, so it was ok for us.
To the well-known shopping center "Jang Ceylon" about 20 minutes. There is nothing special to do there, so take a walk if only, the prices are like ours. The place itself is beautiful. Shopping was not our goal, but who needs it, welcome to Jung Ceylon!
On the way to the mall there is a large open market, I don't remember the name. We went there during the day when there were few people and, thanks to this, we were given good discounts on souvenirs.
In general, Phuket is an expensive place. As an example - to eat together in a good establishment - 800 - 1200 baht (the rate is approximately one to one).
We went to nearby beaches by tuk-tuk. Riding two is expensive. We bargained and the fare came out 350 baht one way, in the evening it was already 400 baht. A big company ride it is much more profitable. We went to Kata Beach and Kamala Beach. Good, clean and semi-empty beaches. I liked it very much, for a change the most it! Sunbeds are also paid. Beware of the sun, it is very unpredictable (we bought a cream on the spot with protection 50).
Excursions: we went to the show Siam Niramit, To two islands - Similan and Tachai, Two-day excursion to 11 islands (with an overnight stay on the island of Phi Phi Don) and Koa Lok. I won’t write about them, you need to go here, but the only thing that wasn’t very impressive was the Khao Lok tour. Better take your time and money and go to Khao Sok. At the expense of bikes, the guide immediately warned that it was not worth taking them at all. It is dangerous to take it on the street, because they can deceive you, the traffic is unusual for a Russian driver and there are no traffic rules. Looking at the chaotic movement, we decided that our life and a relaxing holiday without incident are more valuable to us!

The hotel is not bad! I didn’t like the fact that the light in the rooftop pool is always turned off either at 22.00 or at 23.00, although in nearby hotels the light is on until the morning! And as they say, the water in the room is free as a result, when the Thai money spent everything before leaving, at the exit they demand money from you for drinking bottles! VERY UNPLEASANT. … More ▾ The hotel is not bad! Rooms are cleaned daily, beach towels are freely available. The only thing that disappointed the hotel was the restaurant. Breakfast is VERY poor! For 10 days they never gave fruit!! ! In my opinion, this is nonsense for Tai. The hotel is designed for Russian tourists, during our vacation 95% were Russians, there is NO menu in Russian in the restaurant at the hotel, although there are announcements in Russian all around that you can’t drink your alcohol in the restaurant, a fine of 500 baht. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times, the soups are normal, the pizza is delicious, but some dishes are heated in the microwave and brought half cold. . . , I don’t recommend ordering fruit juices there (a minimum of fruit, poorly ground ice). The staff is friendly, they were immediately there when help was needed, they helped immediately. Also on the 1st floor there are 2 computers, the Internet is free, but the keyboard layout is Thai and English. The location of the hotel, in my opinion, is good, it took about 15 minutes to get to the beach in a calm mode (although we went there only 2 times on the first and last day). In 2 minutes exchanger, grocery stores, pharmacies, cafes, taxi rank and more. Bangla Road 20 minutes walk, Simon show (transvestites) 10 minutes, you can buy tickets yourself (500 baht regular, 700 baht VIP seats). By taxi to Karon Beach (I recommend to go at least once) 10 minutes for 300 baht. I will write about the beaches separately. Patong is a normal beach, cleaner than in the south of Russia, but compared to other beaches in Phuket, it sucks. The water is cloudy, sometimes there are packets))) the bottom is even, smooth, smooth entry into the water, the sand is gray, coarse, beautifully shines. I liked the neighboring Karon beach much more, a wide coastline, snow-white fine sand, clean clear water, also a flat bottom, smooth entry into the water. Sunbeds are rented there in pairs, a pair costs 200 baht, there were three of us, we had to pay for 4 sunbeds. There are plenty of sun loungers, there is enough space for everyone, so it’s not worth it, as in Egypt-Turkey, to rush to take a sunbed by 7 in the morning))) this also applies to Patong. Sunbeds are cheaper in Patong. Opposite the taxi rank there is an excellent restaurant at the hotel (you will immediately notice it), a lot of greenery, an excellent menu in Russian, the service is good, the food is delicious. If you are in Karon, I recommend to dine there. A taxi back, by the way, also costs 300 baht, it makes no sense to bargain, they won’t go cheaper. About excursions. Excursions were taken at the Happy Thai agency, the girl's name is Alena, a great girl, very responsible, the prices are probably the lowest in Phuket. I'll leave her coordinates, maybe someone will come in handy. She was also recommended to me on the internet)) Her Thai number is 0817871053, skype a_klocha, email alena-klochkova@mail. ru. We took a one-day excursion to James Bond on a low-speed speedboat (it costs 1400 rubles). I liked it very much, all day long we enjoyed the unusual views of Phuket, the mesmerizing islands, the lagoon caves. We met wild monkeys, and they really were wild, not fed, so thin and looked at us with such interest))) The tour is very easy, not tiring, Russian-speaking guide, lunch on the ship. A day later, we went on our own to the island of Phi-Pi. Tickets (round-trip) were ordered from Alena (cost as at the box office) + free transfer to the pier and back, the hotel on the island was also booked through her for 3 days / 2 nights. Who is interested in the Phi-Phi Villa Resort, the cost of a double room is 3000 baht per day + 600 baht for an extra bed. In short, the hotel is good, right on the beach (there are no sunbeds and umbrellas on it ! ! this is a nature reserve, so it’s forbidden, you have to escape the sun in the shade of trees), the food is excellent, there is a cafe there, too, everything is very tasty and inexpensive, a swimming pool (with free sunbeds and umbrellas), a good green area, air conditioning, TV, hot water shower, refrigerator. By the way, on the island of Phi Phi, prices for clothes, food, souvenirs, cosmetics are cheaper than in Phuket. On the second day after arriving on the island, having cooperated with a couple of Russos, the tourists rented a boat and sailed to enjoy the local beauties, in particular, to the island of Phi Phi Lay, the same one where the film "The Beach" with Leo DiCaprio was filmed. Entrance to the beach is 200 baht (reserve), the approximate time spent is 1 hour, it can be a little longer if the boatman is accommodating. Boat rental 1000 baht for 3 hours. By the way, you can eat at a local cafe, the choice of dishes is minimal, prices are from 100 to 300 baht per dish, the portions are large, there were 5 dishes on the menu, water is free. Alcohol is not sold on the island, you can bring it with you, just keep in mind that there will be no refrigerator, the beer will be warm. . . Many write about insects, rats and other representatives of flora and fauna, they say "Fuuu" !! ! For some it’s “Fu”, but for us it’s exotic, on the way in the forest we saw a monitor lizard, on the beach a hermit crab, very large, in the evening they showed a chicken crab, such are only found on the Similans. In the toilet you can easily meet a small rat, unpleasant, scary, but tolerable, she won’t eat it! It is strongly recommended not to store food in tents, otherwise rats can gnaw through it. Take towels, alcohol, mosquito repellent and the most necessary hygiene products with you. the most pleasant impressions, beautiful photos and vivid memories left from the tour! About shopping. It was also organized for us by our Alena. We went to the souvenir market, the prices there are really lower than in supermarkets and on the streets. We bought latex pillows, we were VERY satisfied, it is really more comfortable to sleep on them than on feather pillows. We took the usual classic form 11 cm high, size 50 by 70 cm. The cost is 1900 baht. 10 year warranty. Who needs children's clothes, go to the Big C supermarket, where you can buy very cheap children's things, for example, T-shirts from 45 baht, they also sell Disney things, their cost is from 100 to 200 baht !! ! Last year, I brought a whole suitcase for my daughter and I also stocked up in this one in full. 1000 baht and the child is fully dressed for the summer. That's probably all. If you have any questions, write in a personal, I will answer with pleasure.

the quality of the hotel itself is excellent for three stars. only one small minus - the windows of half of the rooms look into the windows of the neighboring hotel. we got a room with a beautiful view of a beautiful quiet street, but there was no time to look there - we spent all the time on different beaches, on excursions, walking through the jungle, in a cafe and in the pool - we looked out the window once upon check-in. safe in the room, air conditioning, refrigerator, it seems there was a kettle. a shower without a bath turned out to be even more convenient, put a towel at the entrance to the shower room. Cleaning is daily, regardless of the tip. breakfast is modest but there is always plenty to choose from, there are fruits. I liked the rooftop pool - the view in all directions. if you want, look at the mountains, if you want, at the roofs and streets of Patong, you can even see a piece of the sea.
the hotel stands near the road to karon beach, walk 40 minutes. along the same road 10 minutes to the variety show. for the second year we have been walking to Paradise beach on a cape in the jungle - this is from Patong beach to the left into the mountains. from the hotel the walk takes an hour and a half, of which an hour is among the real jungle along an asphalt road with gorgeous sea views. you can ride a bike but it’s more interesting on foot. bike rental in
hotel at the reception. we took a bike went to kata-noy beach
