I really wanted to go to warmer climes for NG and Christmas. This is our family tradition. In Thailand, we were in Pattaya, but a very long time ago, we decided to repeat it.
We bought tickets from Mau 1.5 months before the vacation, took a tour with excursions in Phuket and 3 days in Bangkok.
The hotel was chosen first on Bang Tao Beach, they wanted a quiet and beautiful place, on the first line. Not confirmed, there are no places for the holidays.
So we chose Karon Beach and of course the hotel, so that civilization was clean and the sea was nearby.
We arrived at the hotel in the midst of NG dinner. They settled quickly, they didn’t take a deposit, in Tae this is a rarity.

Superior room overlooking the pool, more than enough space for three, has everything you need, clean and comfortable. You can't hear your neighbors so the soundproofing is good. In the morning, fabulous birdsong, in the afternoon, light, not intrusive music from the pool bar. Vacationers 50x50 Russian-foreigners. There are always free sun loungers to soak up the sun and tables in the restaurant.
Everything is green, neat and clean. But not very comfortable paths, intricate labyrinths with dead ends. In order to get closer to the restaurant, you need to wag between the houses, or go around.
Breakfasts on cards, at the entrance mark the number of days.
The food is top notch, good choice, everything is delicious, everything is fresh, everything is clean, lots of fruit.
There is a Spa, but we did a massage on the beach (I advise). There is a gym (not big) Wi-Fi is dead in the room, the reception is livelier.
A guy in uniform with a whistle, a flag and a baton helps to cross the busy road from the hotel.
From the hotel to the right, walk 10 minutes to Karon beach, to the left to Kata. But to get there is a whole extreme. There are practically no sidewalks, the traffic is very busy. The only good news is that there is everything that the soul of a tourist needs, even the most fastidious, if only there was money))))
Cafes, restaurants, exchange offices, massage parlors, travel agencies, pharmacies, souvenir and grocery stores, fruit shops at every step and for every taste along the road. In a cafe, the price of lunch for three is 30-40 dollars with juice and beer, dinner is a little more expensive. Massage from 300-500 baht, depending on which one you choose.
Beaches: Karon is clean and decent. Sun loungers and umbrellas 200 baht. There is no toilet and most importantly (for me) there is no shower to rinse and wash off the sand from the feet (
There is a stinky sewer river on Katya, heaps of garbage, dirty on the beach and in the sea from boats.
Patong - half an hour drive from Karon, only seen from the minibus window, a huge beach, but very crowded!
Excursions took an overview of Phuket, the show "Fantasy", the islands of Phi Phi and Bambo for 1 day, and Khao Lak for 1 day. Interesting, bright, with a sea of emotions and impressions. I liked everything) Then Bangkok, but that's in another story.

Holidays in Phuket reminded me a little of Crimea in 1995, but there are some highlights.
For the first time, during our travels, we did not live by the sea. And they only regretted that the vacation flew by very quickly, 2 weeks was not enough.
The hotel is worth the price and quality. After the bustle and excursions, tired, we came to the hotel, like home, in silence, cleanliness and comfort.
Thailand is a wonderful, colorful country of contrasts!
Happy holidays everyone!
