There was no surprise, everything was looked at in advance on this site. The hotel is really old and clean. Settled immediately, we got room 535 on the fifth floor overlooking the street. It didn’t bother me much, I didn’t hear any extraneous sounds. The room is very small, the balcony is tiny. There was a safe, a refrigerator, a TV set, a kettle with dishes. The air conditioner worked great. Cleaned every day, fine. The breakfasts were not very impressive, they cooked the same thing without much effort. I limited myself to a cup of coffee and toast with jam. There were two pools, one for children and one for children. I only went there once in my entire vacation. A small vehicle runs from the hotel to the beach, we never used it, we went to the beach through the well-known stinky river. Next to the hotel is an awesome massage parlor with real Thai massage. Highly recommend. About the beaches. We really liked Kata itself, very beautiful and more or less calm. At this time, winds begin to blow from the west and the waves on the beaches are high. . My mask and snorkel lay quietly in my backpack. We went once to Kata Noi (from the hotel down the street to the left and uphill 25 minutes), the beach is good, beautiful, but the waves are even bigger. It's worth going and seeing. There were five of us in a jeep - two of us, a married couple from Krasnoyarsk and our guide - Zhenya (Thai). Zhenya speaks Russian normally, joking around. Very kind uncle. We spent the night on the lake in a floating village, in bamboo bungalows. I'll throw pictures. Then we went to James Bond. We were very unlucky with the weather, it was cloudy and rainy before lunch, there was a tin on the speedboat. We got places on the bow without a roof and it was even cold. A Japanese family was sitting there with us, they are poor, they turned blue in general. Then, like nothing, it became clear. There are a lot of people on the islands, after Khao Sok the difference is big. We went to the Pi-Pi, there are also enough people. It is better to take a 2 day tour there. . Then in the evening people leave there and it becomes calm. The Similan Islands were already closed, we will go next time. In general, the first trip to Thailand was a success. Prior to that, they traveled constantly to Turkey and Egypt. Here is a completely different rest, now I understand it. And don't worry about the hotel.
