We returned from Thailand yesterday. Stayed for two weeks with my husband. I will say right away that the next time I go, I will most likely choose it again, although at first, when I saw its remoteness from the sea, I was upset. It is located at 500 meters from the beach, as they say in the hotel information. Go to Karon beach with an average step of 20 minutes, to Kata a little further - 25 minutes. The hotel is located on a mountain, from which the view from the balcony is simply gorgeous - you can see the sea and mountains, and the wall where the balcony and the balcony itself are glass, and thanks to this you can watch the most beautiful landscapes right lying on a huge bed. The disadvantage of the fact that the hotel is located on the mountain is the return to the hotel, since you have to climb up the mountain, given that it's hot, you can barely bring your feet home. So rest with children is simply contraindicated there - you'll get confused! The room is simply huge, it consists of an entrance hall, a main room, a kitchen, a toilet with a bath and a balcony. The total size is over 50 square meters. meters. Each room has 2 air conditioners, a kettle with tea accessories, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a large wardrobe. Another great thing is free wi-fi internet. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is calm. Be prepared to be disappointed with breakfast. because it's the same every day. Not a buffet, but they just bring you a large plate containing one egg scrambled eggs, two sausages, two thin slices of bacon, two toasted breads, jam, coleslaw, some pineapple and watermelon, tea, coffee, milk, drinks. But we must remember that we are not going to rest because of breakfasts, these are mere trifles compared to all other delights. For lunch and dinner, we most often went to a cafe, which is located a two-minute walk from the hotel, on the road to the right (we ate from them on our last visit), this cafe, where locals eat, the cost of one dish is an average of 50 rubles. We moved on a bike, took it in the same place as last time - from Benimo. Almost every day we went to Patong and to the Central Festival. Fruits and vegetables were bought not at the Kata market, but at the nomadic market, which is open on Kata on Monday and Thursday afternoons, I described its location in detail in a review of the Ibis Hotel Kata, where we rested in December 2010. There were no cases of theft encountered. The owners of the hotel are very nice, they are constantly interested in how you relax. Considering the low cost, this is just a wonderful hotel, besides, usually other hotels do not have such a view from the balcony and such huge rooms. Summing up, I will say again that I advise you to rest there, but only for those who travel without small children and who are friends with a motorbike! I add photos, maybe everything that I wrote and showed will be useful to someone.
