We stayed at this hotel in August 2011. The weather was beautiful, although everyone told us that at this time in Thailand it was not the season and it was raining. There was no rain at all, the sun always shone, heat and high humidity, but this did not bother you, you quickly get used to it and it is very good for the skin, it does not dry out. The hotel is good, the sea is nearby, I think Karon beach is the best, long, clear sea, clear water and most importantly, it's sand! Like starch is white and crispy. Sometimes there were strong waves on the sea and red flags were put on the beach, but we still swam, and everyone swam. Near the hotel there are everything - restaurants, even with a Russian menu, quite reasonable prices, a few souvenir shops, Dino Park is a small park entertainment and restaurant-go be sure, very nice inside. Every evening a baby elephant comes to the Dino Park, you can play with him, feed him and take pictures. Taxi drivers are annoying, they pester all the time, up to Patong 400 baht per car.
We went with the Tez-tour, the guide is good, but very expensive excursions. We went on a free sightseeing tour with them, we were driven around factories and shops all day, especially for a long time in a latex factory, where pillows are 100 dollars. The guide did not say anything, bored and spent the day. Then we again went on a sightseeing tour from Treasure Island, this is a tour desk across the road from the hotel, with a large yellow sign in Russian, where the guide told a lot about the country all the way, stopped by the big Buddha and the ancient temple, watched the show with king cobra and baby elephant show. I liked it very much and without any divorce on the pillows. Pillows, we still bought in this bureau, 2 times cheaper than the Tez tour offered, but the quality is the same.
We went on excursions - Phi Phi Islands, to James Bond Island, went on safari to the mainland - they rode rafts, on elephants, visited turtles and a waterfall. I liked everything very much, it was superbly organized, we always had a Russian guide, Yulia, with us, she is very interesting and tells a lot. We bought excursions to Treasure Island, too, several times cheaper than the guide, but still everyone is sailing in the same boat. The islands took about 1500 per person, a safari is a little more expensive, the guide costs 3000 pee per person. We went to the Fantasy show, it was great, to the show of transvestites and we were also persuaded by the girl manager from the bureau to go to an erotic show, that's something! I couldn’t even speak after the show, I was in such shock, and my husband says that he has lived for almost 40 years, but he has never seen such debauchery.
