I have never been in the business of writing reviews. Always liked everything. But this time I will make an exception, because before the trip I tried to look at the reviews about the West Suns hotel in Phuket, but I didn’t find it, because the hotel was new and the comp. issued an answer that less than five reviews are not published. Time was tight and everything else had already been sorted out. We traveled with our three year old daughter. To make sure you like it, we chose a five-star hotel on the first coastline with breakfast and dinner included, an aqua park at the hotel. Everything seems to have been taken into account. But it turned out that you can’t swim in the sea, especially with a child: there is an underwater cliff and the sea is addictive. Therefore, apparently, the beach is not equipped with sun loungers, there is no path to the beach, just grass-weeds, such as our "birch" winding overgrown clearing and then normal sand near the water. There are swimming pools at the hotel, but I personally see no reason to go to distant lands to swim in the pool. Still did not like that through the airport fence, it's too close. Airplanes are audible when louder, when quieter, apparently depending on which direction they take off and which way the wind blows. To order food, you need to know English, there is no buffet, the menu is in English and without pictures. The first time we ordered something inedible. The next day we met with Russian-English speaking vacationers and they helped us with ordering breakfast. Outside the hotel there is a village - there are no cafes, that is, you would have to eat only at the hotel. The water park, which is still paid on site, albeit at a discount for those living here. Ponds have just apparently formed and taken shape (but the frogs have already taken root and sang and croaked loudly), palm trees were also dug in with us, they still stand with props, there were no flowers yet, in general, everything is at the formation stage. Despite the friendly staff, there were too many minuses and we safely retired from there to Knighton Buri the next day, where, with smaller stars, there is a beautiful beach with normal sunbeds and free towels, an emergency buffet and a lot of cafe-restaurants around the hotel. In addition, there are a lot of Russian vacationers, where we found a suitable company with children. There was also a swimming pool with fountains and the territory had long been landscaped and blooming with orchids. I concluded that in Thailand the star rating of a hotel is not so important, the main thing is that the beach nearby is normal and it is enough to buy breakfast, provided that there was a place to go to eat outside the territory, that is, there was a settlement. In general, Thailand is a very interesting country, there are many excursions, beauty all around - we will definitely go there again!
