They flew to Thailand for the second time after a long break, the first time was in 2008. We decided to update our experience. We considered 4-5 * hotels, of all they insisted on the Beyond Resort Kata, they rested in it for the first time, but it used to be called KATA BEACH RESORT & SPA. We were given a room on the second floor overlooking the courtyard and a piece of the sea. Very good view! But when I began to inspect the room and unpack things, I almost burst into tears, what happened to this once wonderful hotel ...Such a stench emanated from the laundry boxes that it was time to run out of the room, I wiped the boxes, but it was useless - the stench was in all room. Having laid out the clothes, she opened the windows and drawers, in the hope that it would be ventilated, but all the clothes began to stink as well. The furniture is all shabby, the walls in the bathroom are moldy, the bathtub is rusty, the ceiling is shabby. I went to express my dissatisfaction at the reception, they came sprinkled with freshener - but the stench did not disappear.
And at night it’s even more fun - I got up out of need, and from under my feet a cockroach from a matchbox ! ! This was the last straw! In the morning I took the cockroach to the administrator and categorically demanded to change the room - they changed it! A little better and without the terrible stench. All clothes had to be rinsed and aired, it was not possible to put them on. The first time we were in this hotel, it was buried in orchids and greenery - now it is shabby, dusty, dirty. It is unfortunate that a good and expensive hotel has been brought to such a state.


A little about the excursions: We were terribly unlucky with the weather, it was constantly drizzling with wind, we practically did not see the sun. On excursions we got wet, froze, caught a cold. Our tour operator Biblio Globus did not take care of the tourists on the first excursions, we could have brought raincoats with us, then we bought them.
The worst and most expensive excursion was “a trip on a HYPE sailing catamaran”, I will attach a photo of where and in what conditions we were taken for 8000 rubles. A metal stool on which you had to sit the whole trip, jumping over the waves - in the photo. They brought us to the garbage island, where there is nothing to look at, only garbage - do not take this excursion for anything. I still do not recommend the “cultural historical show SiamNiramid” - it sucks compared to the “Phuket Fantasea Park”. I am a very positive person, I think that on vacation you need to take everything positively, but these moments about which I wrote spoil the mood and impression of the vacation. I just wanted to warn you friends so that you can avoid unpleasant moments. Good luck! !
