super vacation
We rested in Phuket from May 1 to May 14.2012 at the Ibis Hotel Kata. The rooms are cozy and clean. The room has a free safe, an electric kettle, mugs, tea, coffee, a refrigerator, a hairdryer, air conditioning, a TV with 3 Russian channels, a balcony (we had a view of the pool). Internet for the first 3 days was free only at the reception, and then they gave us a password and we used it for free directly from the room. The pool is large enough, the depth is 1.4 meters, there are 60 sunbeds around it, there was always enough space. Near the tennis table and American billiards. Upon check-in, they took a deposit of $ 100 - in the end they gave it away without any problems. A free tuk-tuk runs from the hotel to the sea, who are too lazy to walk 10 minutes on foot. We took excursions from Ben (Benimo travel agency). It's 200 meters from the hotel. He made very good deals. Then he helped me with finding a video camera, which I left in a tuk-tuk after a trip to the market in the city. In Russia, we could immediately forget about her, but they brought her to my room and asked for 1000 baht for delivery. (I would have given more, especially since all our adventures were recorded there).
Now about excursions: The first one was for 2 days with food at Khao Sok (5500). At Pegasturistik it cost 8900!! ! We rode elephants, fed them, were on a monkey rock, arrived at a mountain lake with emerald water Cheu Lan, settled in a bungalow on the water, kayaked, fed fish, were in a cave of staloctites and stalagmites, sailed on bamboo rafts, it was night and day safari.
Then there was an excursion to James Bond Island (1500). The photos turned out awesome! After lunch at low tide we went canoeing under the rocks.
The next excursion was with my wife to the island of Raya (1300), and I took sea fishing (1500). Caught on a spinning trawl and donkey. My wife really liked the island - its snow-white beach, blue lagoon and fabulous landscape. On the boat they gave out a mask with flippers, you could see and feed from the hands of the fish, which in these places was apparently invisible. There were few people on the island, which cannot be said about Phi Phi Island.
I went to the +18 show - it's interesting to see what women can do in one place! It costs 1500 baht with a transfer and it takes 1 hour (a ticket costs 2500 at the box office).
Evening show Siam Niramit with dinner (buffet) cost us 3600 baht for two. The fairy tale show lasts 90 minutes, but it is worth watching - you won't see anything like this in Russia!
Be sure to visit the zoo. Entrance is 500 baht and you can walk there all day, all shows are included (with crocodiles, monkeys and elephants) We took pictures with an orangutan - it's super!
Breakfast was the same type, but it's not 5 stars. They almost did not have lunch - there is no appetite in the heat, but they ate dinner not far from the hotel. Right in front of us they fried meat, ribs, fish, shrimp - hearty and not expensive. The baht was 100-120 baht per person. You can bring your own alcohol. Somehow we went to a cafe, ate what we wanted and as much as we could - it turned out 400 baht per brother. Beer in bars costs 100 baht 330 grams, and we took it in the store. There 660 grams costs 48 baht. Seven ileven and family stores are open around the clock so you can buy anything you want in the store
Fruit bought at the local market - it is on Mondays and Thursdays. You can also buy along the road, but it is more expensive there. At the Phuket Town night market, prices are the same as at the local market, only a tuk-tuk ride will cost 1000 baht.
Massage prices are the same everywhere. I tried in different places - I did not notice the difference.
It rained for 3-4 days for 15-20 minutes 4-5 times a day. The rest of the days were sunny.
The only thing that overshadowed us was that we moved our flight back 16 hours earlier (instead of 16.30, the flight was at 00.55). The day is gone, but it's a charter. . .
