In general, the net "Karibien" is considered one of the best on the Tunisian coast, and we were convinced of this. Six hotels are part of the chain and are designed in the same style. Three or four stars correspond to one higher than the Egyptian ones.
We chose this hotel for one hour, by the hot method. I “bribed” a review dated 06/28/10 and did not lose, although the cost of this “troika” was significantly higher than other offers. But all the same, they trusted a review that was truthful at first glance, the advice of a travel agency and the well-known network "Karibien".
So, departure on 04.07. 10 from Domodedovo airport at 18:25. Everyone passed quickly and the TransAero plane took us to Tunisia. Flight 3h. 10min. Charter. Appropriate and service - TVs in the headrests did not work, a player with films 600 rubles / piece, food is tolerable, drinks are also so-so, in general, the main thing is the flight. : )

Upon arrival at the Monistir airport, there is a queue to the customs office (fill out the form and show your passport), although it is a visa-free country - at least half an hour. Full of people, from different countries, with children. Next, the fervent representative of "Biblio-Globus" (in general, we liked this tour operator, they know their business, everything is debugged), distribution by buses. It would seem that everything was perfect, and if you throw out the next three hours, you can call the rest super-duper. However, Russians are Russians for that, in order to spoil even the ideal. In short, what two idiots (there are no other words) got lost at the airport and we waited for them on the bus for 1.5 hours. There was already an offer to throw them in a taxi, although I would just leave them at the airport. So without waiting for these unfortunate tourists, we hit the road - two hotels.
Since we arrived at the hotel at 11 pm, it was impossible to eat or drink (thanks to those two tourists).
They settled quickly, just to say - instantly (I heard stories about resettlement in the department for 4 hours... ). The maid grabbed our bags and dragged us through the entire building to the 3rd floor, we were just getting on. I liked the room (photo is attached), by Egyptian standards (and I have something to compare with) - 4-5 stars. Everything worked, except that there was no refrigerator in the room (see that the products were not dragged into the rooms).
After walking with the last effort around the hotel, we did not find a working store, however, at the reception, when asked about water, we were treated to a bottle of water, for which we thank them.
From the next day we had a full rest. The hotel area is moderately large, very green, a lot of pools of interest (for children with a shallow entry, there is a large one with a depth of as much as 3.2 m and warm water in the evening), wonderful water slides (in the evening the water is warm near them), tennis courts and volleyball and basketball courts . There is a town for children "Bibliosha", where "teachers specially brought from Russia" (as the guide put it) work with them twice a day for three hours - from 3 to 12 years old with developmental programs. In general, the hotel is clearly intended for families with children, of which there are many, but their presence is unobtrusive. The contingent is diverse - French, Poles, Serbs, Russians, Germans, Tunisians, etc. , the level is average and above. I noticed that there are many grandmothers with grandchildren. Everyone behaves more or less culturally.
The beach is amazing. And why all the time rushed to the Red Sea. . . : ) The water is clear, the sand is fine. Plastic sunbeds, free of charge, many slightly broken. Towels on bail 10 bucks / piece. But there are no mattresses at all.

On the first day, a jellyfish stung a little on the leg, after 10 minutes they caught it (well done animators) : ) Such a big one, very big. And there are no jellyfish. You can see far under water, the bottom is sand, the entry is smooth. I would say the beach is perfect. On the beach there is a bar where you can only have a drink. Yes, juices and all drinks in the Caribbean are highly concentrated, there is such a thing. But we knew this in advance and decided to just dilute them with water : )
The speech of the guide Yana caused a storm of positive emotions among the tourists and the proposal to record her speech on a cassette with subsequent distribution. The girl clearly knows and loves her job.
Another trick of Russian tourists is to buy one bottle of water, and then in any bar in the department they ask you to pour it with water, for free. Nobody refuses.
The food is super. Always eat one type of meat (beef, lamb, pork), chicken (turkey), fish. Various salads. Desserts are delicious. From fruits ripe watermelons, melons, plums. Everything seems to be... But this is enough. There are plenty to choose from.
On the second day, a red flag flew up over the beach instead of a green one - the jellyfish approached the shore. But Russian tourists found entertainment here too - to catch these large white jellyfish and bury them in the sand. However, the jellyfish did not discourage us from swimming either. The very next day they were almost gone.
On the third day, a healthy sea wave rolled over me from the side and flooded my ear. The usual manipulations did not lead to the desired result, and I had to call a doctor by payphone through the service company of the insurer, as the guide told me to do. And if I called a doctor through the reception without insurance, then the cost of the call is 50 dinars (about 1000 rubles). The doctor examined, gave a prescription and sent to the pharmacy. I did the rest of the procedures myself. The doctor was courteous and fluent in Russian. Subsequently, I called him up and consulted. In general, medicine in Tunisia is at a high level.

The hotel has three a la carte restaurants. Having gone to the Chinese for pro forma (according to the appointment for the day), I was once again convinced that I did not go to these a la carte at hotels in Egypt and Turkey in vain. As if Chinese, as if the products were observed, but what is called, “not enough raisins”, that is, the technology is not observed. "Like China. " I was in China, there is something to compare with : ) But as the guide initially said - if you don’t like a la carte - silently get up, leave and go to dinner again at the main restaurant : ) which we did, having tasted delicious desserts and fruits there . There were always fruits: melon, watermelon, plum, peaches. Two types. At the gala dinner in honor of the storming of the Bastille, there were also grapes and apples.
In the second week it stormed, raised a red flag on the beach. But this did not stop the Russians. The waves caught up with mud from algae. It's kind of annoying, judging by the reviews, but I don't think it's worth it to load so much. The weather is amazing, there is where to swim.
In general, the hotel, of course, for families with children. From 2 to 14 years old. The restaurant even has a table with products for children, and a children's corner with chairs and tables. The attitude of all staff towards children is friendly. To put it mildly.
The animators are at their best, constantly entertaining, all day and evening performance. Even on the beach, they unobtrusively haunt, rehearsing their Russian.
The receptionist understands Russian. Well, from the second time they fix emergency situations by number. Kindly. In general, any of the staff is ready to help on request. Applied many times.
The rooms are cleaned daily while we were away (they hung a green sign). Towels were changed every day. They didn't leave a tip. Later we noticed that they only make the bed, change towels, and practically do not wash the floor and do not wipe the dust either. But also thanks for the daily change.
To the seaport with yachts and the city center of Yasmine Hammamet - by taxi 4-5 dinars, or walk along the beach for 30 minutes (we went more than once). The Bravo state store has everything - groceries, alcohol. By the way, the beer in the hotel, apparently, is non-alcoholic, but the wine is nothing (white, because red is strongly fortified).
Juices - "just add water", i. e. add water, are highly concentrated...
One piece of advice for non-Muscovites: do not take a flight back in the evening, you will arrive at Domodedovo exhausted, without enough sleep. The same goes there - it was better to pay extra 25USD and fly in in the morning to spend the whole day, otherwise the day was actually lost, because they calculate the length of stay at night.

Upon returning, the flight was delayed by 1 hour, which is not much with a charter. Yes, and I've seen better hotels : ) It's just that you need to have a different attitude to life and communicate with people like a human being and everything will be fine.
Summary:
1. You can and should travel to Tunisia. Reasons: there are not so many Russians yet and the boorish ones have not yet caught up. The second reason is that the Tunisians themselves have not yet become insolent like the Egyptians. Plus their natural upbringing, the mentality developed in the colonial regime with France. They know how to serve and their joy and politeness look natural and true. And the Turks with the Egyptians have already snickered and behave quite arrogantly and uncivilized (if you compare the rest of the same level).
2. The chain of hotels "Caribbean World" is worthy of attention. Especially Caribbean World Hammamet Beach, because it is on the first line and the animation is super. No, if you want gloss, then go to the fives, since there are plenty of them here. We walked along them, in one of the super fives we went to the thalasso center. It's a complete thrill. But in the "Karibien" everything is on the level, though a little different. But quality. Everything is calm, sincere, positive. Paradise for children.
3. Everything is bad, terrible, do not come here Russians - at least some kind of calm will remain on these shores... : ) otherwise, in recent days, as it has become in Anapa, Russian speech and screams are all around...
