We rested at Residence Mahmud in mid-September 2012. We were lucky with the weather, for several days the sea was calm and transparent, like a tear. Toward the end of the holiday, small waves began. This 3 star hotel is amazing. The interiors and patio are like in an oriental fairy tale. We got a good room without any extra charges. For breakfast, French baguettes + jam + butter + egg (or cake) + tea, coffee, cocoa + juice. Dinner is just amazing! For 8 evenings never repeated. On the first evening, an excellent onion soup was served. There was also lasagna and oriental dishes (cous-cous). Opposite the hotel there is a shop where there is everything you need: tea, bread, yoghurts, cheese, canned food, essentials. There is a supermarket in the city near the Medina. Although in supercarkets sometimes they cheat more than in small shops. We went by minibus to Nabeul. 25 minutes by minibus (more comfortable and faster than by bus, the price is almost the same). There is a lot of ceramics in Nabeul - eyes run wide, it costs a penny. There is also a great supermarket (bought divine olives). Old medina and the most famous cafe of Hammamet) 20 minutes walk by sea. In the opposite direction in a 15-minute walk - Villa Sebastian with a botanical garden. Entrance 5 dinars. In general, for a 3 * hotel justifies itself. 5 minutes walk to the sea. There is garbage along the way, but there is enough of it in principle in the cities of Tunisia. The hotel has a nice pool - quiet, small, cozy. Basically, Europeans rest near it. The main contingent of tourists - Russians. In general, for the money - a great hotel, a wonderful holiday.
