Very good and decent hotel. Fully justifies its 4 stars. Everything is clean and tidy. The staff is polite. The food is good.
Flight from St. Petersburg 4.5 hours. Brilliant Tour travel agency, the host of the Express Tour, the guide Malik met us, put us on the bus, briefly explained some points, the transfer to the hotel took about an hour, the cards were filled out at the reception, we received the keys to the room, by prior arrangement from St. Petersburg we were given a connection room, t . to. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children. The guide, by the way, is very responsible, was every day at the hotel, indicated important information on the stand and constantly communicated with his tourists, asked if everything was in order, did not impose excursions. The number is quite satisfied, located in a 2-storey building (the so-called bungalows). The room has 2 rooms with a door, 2 toilets, a bath, a shower, enough built-in wardrobes, 2 safes, 2 TVs - there is 1 Russian channel, 2 refrigerators, 2 double beds, 1 single bed and a crib for a baby, 2 air conditioners (they worked, but we didn't use them. In general, everything is enough. Clean, hotel room. Unpretentious. They cleaned up very well. Every day. And the towels were always clean and the bed. The toilets were cleaned well. We gave every day 1 dinar - 21 rubles to the maid. The hotel area is large, green, clean. There are 2 deep pools, 1 medium with three slides and 2 pools for small children, 1 indoor pool.
The beach is big enough and very clean. Every morning the beach is cleaned of debris. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free. Beach towels are available for rent. In order for you to have enough sunbed, you need to take care of it and take a seat at 7 am. The same system around the pools and in the garden. The hotel has a playground, also quite large. You can walk, run and play on the grass. Restaurant - breakfast, lunch, dinner, the duration of each is 3 hours. For breakfast, there are always 2-3 types of cheeses, such as cheese, pancakes, 4 types of jam for pancakes, chocolate paste, butter, there are also always fried eggs, scrambled eggs with and without vegetables, muesli, various balls with milk, croissants, tea, coffee, cocoa, juices, watermelons or melons, kefir, apples, cookies, stewed vegetables, nipples, sausage. For lunch and dinner - there is a lot of food and space too, but it is better to come to the beginning. The food is delicious, you can make your own salads, they are not filled with mayonnaise. Vegetables are chopped and grated, a bottle of olive oil stands nearby. From seasonings there are ketchup, hot spices, red pepper, pickled vegetables, salted fish, mustard. Always a variety of pasta with sauces to choose from. A lot of different meat, 2-3 types of fish. From side dishes rice, potatoes, stewed vegetables, salads, drinks (beer, wine, tea, coffee, juice), watermelons / melons, peaches, ice cream. The restaurant is always clean and cleaned quickly. Of the drinks for free during the day - white, rose, red wine - very tasty, beer, liqueurs - muscat, cedratin (like martini), local vodka "buha". The bar in the hotel lobby serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails from 21.00 to 00.00. Drinking water every evening can be obtained in the bar in bottles as much as you need - carbonated and still.

The animators are just great. Everyone is constantly entertained with something, many different activities - water polo, football, volleyball, darts, table tennis, water gymnastics, yoga, belly dancing, aerobics - this is what we saw, I'm sure there are many more. They go after vacationers and invite them to take part in the games. We were just not interested in it, we entertained ourselves. Evening performances are interesting for adults. We went to children's animation once and it turned out to be exactly the same as in Turkey in 2008, all the same movements and songs. But our children, 6.6, 8 years old, didn’t really need a kids club or animation, they don’t get bored, they have fun themselves.
Kids club. Been there once. There are different games every day. There is football, mini-golf, children's water polo, during the day children are treated to ice cream.
During our stay (the beginning of the swimming season), the water is + 21-23 degrees, it will seem cool to someone, but you can swim, the sea gradually warms up. The air temperature in the hotel is about + 25 and the breeze from the sea. There were waves, sometimes strong, the children liked it, it's not for everyone. Of the 11 days, a couple of days were calm. If further from the sea in the city, then, accordingly, the temperature is higher. The temperature was comfortable for both children and adults to stay, because. from 28 and above it is already getting hot. Although I am very thermophilic, sometimes it was a little cool, but it was very comfortable to be outside all day, even from 13 to 16, you could safely sunbathe and walk. After 20.00 sometimes I wanted to put on a light jacket with sleeves. If you like the heat + 35, you need to go from mid-July, August. For comparison - in 2008 we were in Turkey in August, so it was unbearably hard, after 11 hours a comfortable stay is only in a room under air conditioning and until sunset. There is nothing for children to do in the room, the playground is boiling and hot from the sun, there is a steam room in the kids club.
From the hotel you can drive to the center of Mahdia (Medina) in 5 minutes for 4 dinars (1 dinar - 21 rubles), where you can walk around their shops, but it’s better not to buy anything there - it’s expensive, or bargain until the last, lowering the price tag by three four times lower than they offer, sit in a cafe, there is a museum in the center, somewhere near the sea on the rocks there is a beautiful cafe (it is better to check with the guide how to get there). There is a state store Generale (locals will tell you how to get there, but not merchants, because they say that Generale is closed and offer to buy from them, do not believe them) like our Pyaterochka, there are fixed prices, low. There is a shopping center near the hotel, where you can buy souvenirs and all sorts of things if you need it - cheaper than in trading shops. The prices for fruits are cheap, we bought it like this - you leave the hotel, catch a taxi, explain that you need to buy fruit, they take you to the fruit shops, help you choose and take you back. In the opposite direction from Mahdia, also in 5 minutes - 4 dinars will be taken to the mini zoo, it is interesting for children there, the entrance for children is 2 dinars, for adults 5.

They offer many different excursions, we didn’t go far, because. children are not interested in this, they will not appreciate it, but will only be exhausted.
We did not experience any discrimination. Be polite, tactful and you will be answered the same.
There were some Russians there, who in all their glory showed how "cultural" they are, and so the negative remains from such tourists. They probably write in the reviews that they are underfilled and they talk about it right at the bar.
The hotel is family oriented, many families with children. There are no discos on site. There is a disco club very close to the hotel.
The hotel also has a restaurant, you can visit it once a week, by appointment. From 10-14 you sign up at the reception, and from 19 the restaurant starts working, there is no longer a buffet, but a fixed menu, you are served by a waiter - salad, first, second, sweets, wine. There is fish cuisine and Tunisian. We went once. I liked the fish food more.
On the territory, you can absolutely safely let children go unattended to the playground. The security service works well, outsiders are not allowed in, the local population is expelled from the beach - merchants are expelled. The beach is closed in the evening with a bolt and security is constantly on duty so that there are no strangers. The staff is polite, everyone greets, smiles. If you are already known as a Russian, they will greet you in Russian and wish you bon appetit at the entrance to the restaurant.
We arrived, the hotel was not yet full, it was quite free. There were many Germans. And when they were already leaving, then of course the people came in large numbers, there were already a lot of Russians. I understand that the active season starts on June 25.
Have a good holiday everyone!
