Hotel ratings by criteria:
We chose a hotel based solely on reviews: first line, fabulous sea, white sand, food, well-groomed territory, adequate price. We arrived around 19:00. we were met by the guide of Oasis Bielel company. The road from Carthage airport to the hotel takes almost three hours. On the way to Mahdia, Bilel told as much as possible about the country, about the resort, about the rules, about the possible nuances when traveling - for which many thanks to him! He also left his phone number and was always in touch!
Considering that the time in Tunisia is minus two hours ago from Kiev, plus from 19.00 to 20.00 in Tunisia, a dark night sets in, as if someone turned off the lights)) we arrived at the hotel at almost 22.00 and it was night. Entering the hotel "killed" loud music at the end of a long and wide corridor, where the disco was held. But those were first impressions. Everything is on schedule here. 24.00 - everything calms down! the exception is the holidays (we had May 9 and the weekend - the disco is longer).
We were met at the reception, given the key to the room, the porter took the suitcases and led us to the room. At the same time, we were told to go down and have dinner (although dinner had ended long ago, but the restaurant left us food for two, which was a pleasant surprise).

Room: large, turned out to be with three beds - it was convenient for us (an extra place for things))), an awesome panoramic view from the balcony of the sea and the hotel, the curtain is thick on the window, which does not let in sunlight and this is a big plus for those who like to sleep during the day , the room has a TV, a safe (but for an additional fee) chairs, tables, glasses, large mirrors, in the bathroom we had a bath with a shower, a large mirror, built-in hairdryer, socket, chair, soap, shampoo, toilet paper - every day updated.
Room cleaning every day + change of bed and towels (it was even a little annoying))
in the reviews they read that take a tee, because the rooms have one socket for TV and nowhere to charge gadgets: indeed, in the room we saw a cable to the TV torn off the wall (someone tore it off to have access to the socket - his hands would have been torn off for mischief ). But the room is full of sockets: under the bedside tables (and they are not visible) and in the bathroom near the hair dryer, it is closed with a lid from moisture))) so do not pull the tees)
Food is varied. There is everything every day: both meat (turkey, chicken, veal), and fish, all kinds of side dishes (from potatoes to couscous), grated soups (but it is accepted everywhere), sweets are sooo delicious, coffee is sooo delicious, teas to choose from , eat fruits - overeat, salads - a lot! I personally ate some salads to satiety! My husband also leaned on salads and fish. Didn't even take side dishes. Alcohol in the restaurant: beer and wine (red, white, pink (I liked pink!!! )). There are two bars on the territory of the hotel from 10.00 (one in the hotel, one in the pool). there is a wide range of alcohol! I emphasize that delicious coffee from the machine! I made myself one short + long + again short! )) The staff is all friendly, everyone understands Russian, except for the cleaners (they know French). The attendants are men. cleaning women and saw several girls from the kitchen taking out dishes.
A good team of animators who will entertain you and your children from 10.00. It is very convenient for those with children! It is very good that there are three pools on the territory: one for children, one for adults (although the depth appears gradually and the children swam in it too) and one with slides! There is a playroom near the pool for children. There, too, animators will work with your children.

Beach: clean, with free sunbeds and mattresses, beach towels can be taken as a deposit at the reception. The beach is guarded by both hotel staff and armed policemen. The hotel security allegedly drives away the merchants of stoles, bedspreads, tunics, palm trees, fruits (we had the season of the most delicious and fragrant strawberries, melons and watermelons). so the sellers stood near the borders of the beach and you could come up and buy something. Most bought their local stoles (they are hand-woven and look like our homespun towels, only in larger sizes). The same stoles, in order not to leave a 20 dinars deposit for a beach towel, were used for sunbeds. Yes, if you lost your beach towel check, the deposit will not be returned to you. and in general it is better to keep all checks in this country. Especially a check for the purchase of currency. Without it, you will not be exchanged back dinars for dollars. so at least one check you must keep. Since it is categorically (criminal liability) forbidden to export paper dinars from the country, they can be exchanged back into dollars or euros upon departure. This can be done either at the bank or at the airport. nowhere else. About the exchange. Money can be changed at the hotel reception. So, a tall, thin man who replaces a girl in the evening and works at night, impudently does not give you a few dinars: we, for example, have two, the woman behind us has four. After recalculating the amount received, the husband asked where the rest of the money was? He, grimacing, began to bleat that, they say, these two dinars are for you, but I also need to live somehow. The woman was indignant: she looks impudently into my eyes and does not give four dinars!! ! This was perhaps the only negative for us in the hotel! It's just annoying!! ! Brazenly, shamelessly and shamelessly!!! ! Be careful when exchanging!
Internet in the hotel is paid. Like $16 a week. But you can buy a card of a local mobo operator and the Internet is considered there for the time you used. that is, 24 hours can be stretched, you know how. Not the volume used is considered, but the time. But if you go up to the third floor to rooms 2211-2201 and 1201-1215, then walking along the corridor, you will catch free Wi-Fi from the neighboring El Mansour or Iberostar hotels) . If you come to rest and work does not bother you, then this free Internet will be enough: you can call, you can send SMS, video and photos.
About the city. This is a Muslim country. One trip to the city for comparison (there are taxis under the hotel and you can bargain with them) was enough for me not to go there anymore: after leaving the hotel to the road and turning right, you will see a number of shops that sell absolutely everything the same as and in the city on the market! surprised that a lot of goods that are cheaper than we bought in the city. This is especially true for souvenirs! So, having made a tour of the civilized tourist area of the city, we refused to travel to the Center of Mahdia!
In general, we are very pleased with the rest! I recommend!!!! !
