• Hello! For those who collect information about Tunisia, and in particular about Mahdia Palace, my review will be useful. We went at the end of October for 7 days. The weather during this period - as lucky, we were lucky, there was no rain, and the sun and heat only improved the positive during the trip. In order: do not take rooms on the "minus" floors. We had room 4329, with a view of the palm tree, because For me, the view of the sea from the window was not fundamental, then we can say that we were lucky, and we didn’t have to pay extra. The food in the restaurant is ordinary, no frills. Breakfasts are monotonous (this is, in fact, the rule of all hotels without exception), there were no frills for dinner either, but they did not remain hungry.
• The fact that someone was not given dinars when exchanging currency did not affect us, the main thing is to defiantly count them right away. And one more thing - if you smile at everyone, know English (and preferably French) and try to say something in Arabic, then you are a dear guest everywhere in Tunisia. Do not regret 40 UAH. buy an Arabic phrasebook at Petrovka. He rescued us - added goodwill. If you "screw" the Arabic words in the Medina (old city), then you can bring down the price o-o-very good. Friday is market day in the Medina, but the liquor store, the one near the General, is closed on Friday, keep that in mind.
• Now about the "Sahara" - a worthwhile trip, I will give some advice to those who are going to go there. In Duzza you will be accommodated in a hotel, and if you want to swim in the pool with thermal water, then take an old swimsuit, because. the water has a yellow-brown color and it is not possible to wash the swimsuit afterwards. On the second day of the Sahara, bring your swimsuit with you when you arrive by jeep to the oasis, there is a spring where you can swim. We arrived there, it was hot and we really wanted to take a dip, but alas, we didn’t have a swimsuit with us. Fresh pomegranate juice is sold in this oasis - I recommend it!! ! Super delicious! Keiroan really has the cheapest souvenirs, and near the bus you will be approached by a seller of roasted almonds, peanuts. Keep in mind - he is fooling, if you want almonds, then under the guise of almonds they will sell you peanuts, there will be almonds in a ratio of 1:9 to peanuts.

• Our guide's name was Avel, he knows Russian very well, he told us that only in... (I don't remember the name of the town) you can buy cactus jam, and they don't sell it anywhere else, we "were seduced" and bought a jar for 5 dinar. What was our disappointment when near our hotel (a supermarket on the right side near the Florida cafe) we saw the same jam for 2.5 dinars. In general, after a trip to the Sahara, you begin to look at the Tunisians differently, and the Mahdia Palace hotel becomes dear and really resembles a palace compared to the hotel in Duzz.
• Regarding the Thalasso-cent - I recommend it to everyone, the feeling is super! I took the program for 4 days (an average of 3 hours a day) as for me, you don’t need more (and less too), here you also need an old swimsuit (which you don’t mind throwing away), because . after the procedures, it cannot be restored! You can take disposable thongs there in the center, only you need to tell the “breeding girl” about this, many in the Tallas Center speak Russian, you also need to say that they give you a bottle of water and a shower cap, they themselves, as a rule this is not issued. If you want to buy clay, like in thalasso, then it’s better to go shopping near the hotels, because. in the talaso center itself, this clay will be 2 times more expensive. And be sure to take the opportunity to visit the pool with various hydromassages, hammam and relaxation room with eucalyptus air for free, provided that you have bought a course for 4 days. My husband and I first went to the hammam and the pool for free, and then I went to my procedures, and he could still breathe eucalyptus in the room.
• About diving. If you have any certificate and just look at the fish, corals are no longer interesting to you, then in principle only Tabarka is suitable for diving. All other cities (including Mahdia) are diving for beginners, nothing more. Traveling from Mahdia to Tabarka is like traveling from Lviv to Sevastopol, that is, across the whole country - it makes no sense. It's easier to fly directly to Tabarka.
• Regarding tips, one dinar is a really decent tip for all Tunisians. None of us "squeezed out" tips, if you want - you give, if you don't want - don't.
• And most importantly - read fewer reviews, otherwise the sharpness of sensations is dulled! Catch the buzz from the unknown and pleasant experiences in Tunisia!
