To begin with, I would like to say "Thank you very much" to everyone who writes positive reviews that do not correspond to reality for ruining a long-awaited vacation. It is not the first time we have a rest abroad, we have been to different countries, hotels. Last year we rested in Mahdia in a good 3-star hotel. But such a nightmare as in Helya was seen for the first time.
Rested from 14 to 25 July together with a friend. Tour operator - Grand Express. Airline Nouvelair. Flight to Tunisia was delayed for an hour, flew back on time. During the flight they were fed breakfast.
We arrived at the hotel at 9 am. Check-in at 14.00. We asked at the reception if it was possible to somehow speed up, they said that there was no way. We changed clothes, walked around the territory and went to the SPA, where we had a great time until lunch: full body peeling, hammam, body wrap, massage, jacuzzi, face mask. Perhaps this is the most pleasant memory of this hotel. Thanks to Maxim and all the staff of this SPA center!

ABOUT THE HOTEL AND ROOM
After dinner, we were given a room on the 3rd (4th) floor (it is numbered differently in different elevators) with a view of the neighboring hotel, the sea, the airport (does not interfere). The room is good, after renovation. They didn't pay money. The room has 2 double beds, sofa, TV, separate bathroom. Refrigerator, hair dryer, TV remote. There is a table and 2 chairs on the balcony, we regretted that we did not take a rope and clothespins, it would be more convenient to dry clothes. The room is cleaned every day, towels and linen were changed only 1 time in 12 days. Everything worked in the room, except for the sconce over one of the beds (more on that later). The air conditioner cools only at night, until 5 am, then it just buzzes. Nothing was missing from our room.
The hotel lobbies are dirty, the carpet in the corridor has never been vacuumed, there are always mountains of dirty dishes with the appropriate aroma in the morning near the elevator. The elevator in our wing didn't work at all for several days. Vacationers told how they got stuck in it, then it was turned off altogether. On some days in the morning, a terrible smell of sewerage was carried throughout the hotel. WI-FI only at the reception, there are always vacationers with phones right at the counter. We did not use it, we bought SIM cards in the hotel store for 2.5 GB - we personally had enough.
NUTRITION

Personally, we had no complaints about the quality of food. The truth of the fruit is only watermelon or melon. But the DINING ROOM itself (well, you can’t call it a restaurant) - this is horror !! ! Dirt is everywhere, from tables and chairs to dishes that seem to just be rinsed with cold water. Have you ever seen paper cups in a hotel restaurant? The most interesting thing is that even at the beginning of breakfast at 7 am the tables are dirty. There were not always enough tables, sometimes, like in McDonald's, you had to stand with plates in your hands and wait for people to finish eating. When to come is also a question... You come for breakfast at 7 in the morning - you stand for half an hour and wait until they start cooking scrambled eggs and donuts, you come at 9 in the morning - there is almost nothing. There are always not enough cups, glasses, napkins are also a luxury for this hotel (once an employee stood and gave out 1 piece in hand). On the last day of our stay, scrambled eggs began to be given out 1 in hand, i. e. For 10-20 minutes you stand with the whole family for scrambled eggs, then the same amount for donuts, and, if you're lucky, you stand and wait for a cup or a glass. Be prepared to be left without lunch if you come to the dining room later than 14.00. We arrived from the tour at 14.05 - everything except the bread had already been removed. Snack on the street at 16.00 - 2 slices of pizza in hand, a napkin instead of a plate (see photo).
BEACH
Be prepared to get up at 5 in the morning, because at 6 there are no more mattresses and free umbrellas. Traders walk along the beach, but they do not fit the sunbeds. The whole day they drive a camel back and forth and periodically ride horses - the ambergris is appropriate. On weekends it's full of locals without bracelets. For them, employees take sunbeds, which are not enough. Once they observed how a vacationer took a mattress from a free sunbed, a security guard immediately ran up and took it away from her. There is no toilet on the beach, you need to run to the building.
SWIMMING POOL
We never went to the pool, so I won’t say anything, but the sunbeds by the pool were impressive - sagging, torn (see photo). The pool bar was also rare. We saw how glasses are washed - just rinsed under a tap with cold water. Many vacationers went with their glasses.
ANIMATION
We do not go to the evening animation, we also do not go to the pool, so we saw the animation 1 time. On July 20, the owner or some inspectors apparently came to the hotel, and on that day miracles worked at the hotel)) In the morning, animation was carried out on the beach, clean tablecloths and clean dishes appeared in the dining room, something was fried on a barbecue near the beach. Unfortunately, all this lasted only 1 day ((We were shocked when on the beach, inviting to gymnastics, one animator said to a mother with 2 small children who refused to go with him: "We came to eat, drink. Squishy Basin! " On the last day of our stay, the animators apparently found out why they were standing at the door of the restaurant before dinner and for the first time invited to the evening animation. The stand with information about the animation is not filled.
EXCURSIONS

We only went to Phrygia Zoo, we took a tour from a guide. We liked. In Sousse (20 minutes) and Monastir (2 stops) we went by metro, which is located across the street from the hotel. I'll attach the timetable, in case anyone needs it. But keep in mind that trains do not always arrive on schedule, sometimes you have to wait.
STAFF
The staff is the biggest minus of the hotel! No one speaks Russian at the reception. So praised in previous reviews, the Russian-speaking Oksana is a woman with an eternally angry, displeased face. We contacted her 3 times, nothing but rudeness was heard from her. I already wrote about the rudeness of the animator. The employee on the beach believes that if he is culturally answered and, due to his upbringing, is not sent, when he pesters him every day with his conversations, then they are ready to go with him somewhere in the evening, he also asks how many "rendezvous with the staff" we had. Moreover, we tried in every possible way to show that his communication bothers us, but it is useless, for good he does not understand. Once, a fight between a guard and a merchant was observed on the beach. There was also a fight in the dining room at dinner, but they did not see who was fighting with whom. As I wrote in the room in one of the sconces, the light bulb was unscrewed. For 6 days we approached the reception and Oksana with a request to fix the lamp. Reactions - zero. Until they themselves met an electrician in the corridor and asked him to come into our room and screw in this lamp already.
In general, if you are ready for queues, dirt and rudeness of the staff - WELCOME!
