06/26/2016 returned from this hotel. We rested together with my husband for 11 days.
Separately, I want to immediately highlight the entire staff of the hotel. Service at a very decent level, impressed! Everyone is sooo friendly, responsive, involved. I especially want to highlight the guys at the reception Moussa, Makram and Rached. Any issue was resolved quickly and positively! This special attitude towards all hotel guests smoothed out any discomfort that arose. Now in order.
Settlement. It took 30 minutes from the airport to the hotel. They settled immediately (up to 10 minutes), brought things to the room and asked if everything was fine. It did not suit us, since the windows overlooked a direct view of the sea and at the same time the pool, but we wanted silence and fewer people in front of the windows. When they heard dissatisfaction, they immediately gave another room on the 3rd floor with a partial view of the sea and the garden (386). It was what was needed. We arrived after 23.00, when dinner was already over, but we were fed separately.

Number. The rooms are comfortable and clean with a large bed (we saw three rooms, 2 in which we settled and one with the guys we met at the hotel). TV plasma hanging on the wall. Balcony with dryer and furniture (table, chairs). The safe is free in the closet. The hair dryer is good, the towels were changed and the soap-ryl ones were replenished daily (shower gel, soap and shampoo). There are no bathrobes and slippers. We asked for bathrobes and they brought them to us immediately. Upon arrival in the room there was a plate of fruit and in the mini bar 2 bottles of drinking water. Further it was not replenished, but this is not a problem, water can be taken from the lobby, pool bar or on the beach.
Restaurants, bars.
Main restaurant. There is a lot of space in the hall, but at the same time there is a smell of the kitchen, as much is cooked right in the hall. I didn't feel comfortable eating there. But you can choose more distant tables. There is a small summer terrace overlooking the sea, where we ate. But when we went to eat, we always worried that there would be no free tables, though there always were.
Breakfast. The standard set (fruits, vegetables, eggs, cheese and cold cuts, bread and pastries) is quite decent. There are always freshly squeezed juices: orange, grapefruit, plum (super), melon, peach and mix.
Lunch, dinner. The choice of dishes is normal, there is always fish, beef, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, several types of salads, cold appetizers, pasta with various fillings, ice cream and many sweet treats. In a day or two, various seafood, rabbit, paella. No tea, juice or coffee. Only water, carbonated drinks (cola, sprite, fanta) and spirits. Alcoholic drinks in the hotel are of high quality.
The service is excellent, regardless of the tip left. Tables are served, glasses are filled, dirty dishes are immediately removed. The waiters are very helpful, friendly and friendly, however, like the rest of the hotel staff!! ! It's impossible not to leave a tip
A la carte restaurant. Free by appointment. Open evenings at 19:30 on Tuesday and Thursday. Thursday Italian cuisine, Tuesday Tunisian. We signed up for Tunisian (of which there is Italian cuisine in Tunisia). Quite a decent dinner.
Bar in the lobby. As a rule, after dinner, everyone spends time in the hotel lobby and on the terrace. Plays the piano, sometimes hold karaoke. There is water, spirits, coffee, tea and nuts.
Pool bar. It works from 10 to 18. You can drink coffee, tea, water, alcoholic drinks, incl. make delicious cocktails. There are also various snacks: pizza, fruits, sweets, ice cream.
Bar on the beach. Only beer and soft drinks are served.

Grounds, pools, beach. The territory of the hotel is small, compact (we were looking for such a hotel). Two pools. One is calm, the other is animated. There are no slides. There are several hammocks behind the tranquil pool. We did not go to the pool, as we arrived at the sea. The beach is small, clean, the sea is clean (they swam enough), the sand is snow-white. True, when we arrived there was a strong wind and the sea was stormy, it was not very pleasant to swim (it caused everyone). But we were informed that such weather does not last more than 2-3 days, so we took a two-day excursion to the Sahara so as not to lose these days, and when we returned, the weather was super for the rest of the time. Plastic sun loungers, old (requesting updates), mattresses, a stationary umbrella with palm leaves. There is a volleyball court (they play every day, so I advise you not to choose sun loungers there). Not enough sunbeds for so many tourists. at 8 in the morning there was no longer a single normal free sunbed, only on the outskirts. I had to get up at 6-30 and run to take a seat, otherwise nothing. Towels are issued against a $10 deposit. for a towel, which is then returned. Towels can be changed near the pool bar from 10.00 to 17.00. There is also an indoor swimming pool with baths, but we did not go there.
For rooms, the prestige pool jacuzzi on the roof of the hotel.
In addition, locals constantly walk along the beach and sell something (fruits, beachwear, drums, souvenirs), which is somewhat uncomfortable.
Animation. Not intrusive, very nice guys (just for a relaxing holiday). They announce the beginning of games, gymnastics (also held at sea), dances, etc. Show programs are held in the evening.
In the evenings, as I wrote earlier, people spend time in the lobby. At 21.30 the show program starts (there were once). They say that there is also a disco where there is no one. There is a hookah bar, as well as a place to watch football, news, etc. All in all, a relaxing hotel. Near the hotel there is the port of El Kantaoui, where restaurants, singing fountains (did not work) and an amusement park, you can safely go there after dinner. Everywhere police patrols, you feel calm. And the locals are all very nice.
There are shops, shopping centers near the hotel (10 min). You can also go to the Medina (the old part of the city) to the market (within the walls of the fortress of that time) and bargain from the heart or to local shops where prices are fixed. We didn't go. Were in stores on excursions to Tunisia (the capital). How and what to get there, as well as where the shops, etc. you will be told in detail at the reception or guide.
You can pay everywhere only in dinars, they can be changed at the hotel reception. The exchange rate throughout the country is the same (1 dollar = 2 dinars). Be sure to save your money exchange receipts, since when you leave, dinars can be exchanged for currency only at the airport and only if you have a primary check and only in the equivalent of no more than 300 dollars.

Excursions. We took to the Sahara for 2 days (I highly recommend it, and at the beginning of the rest, because you learn a lot of information about Tunisia and it’s more interesting to relax later), to Korfagen (3 cities, including Tunisia) and a boat trip. I do not recommend taking a boat trip. Satisfied did not see!
Content. When we arrived at the hotel, there were not very many Russians and somehow it was good. But from the second half of the rest there were a lot of them and the rest was thoroughly spoiled !! ! Some go to the beach with speakers and listen to Russian rap, many swear and spit right into the sea and sand, yell (mostly obscenities to connect words), etc. In general, it seems that the locals themselves were shocked by the contingent of Russian tourists. We were ashamed to speak Russian, we tried in Ukrainian))). And on the last day, a young family of Russians (lying next to me on the beach) put me into a stupor. A little daughter comes up to her mother and says: “mom aa”, to which mommy takes off her doce’s panties and sets her to poop right under the noses of people resting nearby, after which she collects this case in a bag and tells dad to throw “this” into the trash (can’t even take it out to the toilet), despite the fact that the toilet is very close, clean and comfortable. I can already see the face of the person who cleaned the trash can and I don't envy those who have sunbeds next to this trash can (garbage vase on the beach). I was sick for a long time. Of course, this does not apply to all Russian tourists, but, unfortunately, the majority. We very much regretted that we did not take the opportunity and did not go to Turkey, where now it seems like a great vacation without the Russian contingent.
