I will say right away that before that I had a rest in Egypt and Turkey in 4-5 *.
So. Elhana beach, which means "Happiness" in Russian.
The hotel is quite large, about 600 rooms. This is one of the very first hotels in Sousse, in connection with this, the general deterioration of the building is certainly felt, although the lobby has been more or less renovated. I must say right away that the hotel does not deserve more than 2 stars, it is a mystery to me why there are three of them. Air conditioning is central, although there are regulators in the room, in fact the air conditioner only works in the "On-Off" mode. There are no TVs, no refrigerators. The bed linen is white and yellow (they say the yellowness is from some kind of machine, either from the washing machine, or from the dryer). No matter how much I tip, the linen is white and yellow. Two towels. Small and even smaller. They change linen and bed according to the principle, they took it in the morning and returned it in the evening. That is, you will receive exactly the same towel and blanket as it was. The bed is rarely changed, but if you ask, they will change it at any time (although you will not see the difference). Plumbing and furniture in a state of C grade. By the way, cockroaches ran around the toilet in my room at night, maybe this will scare someone away. During the day or just when the light is on - they do not crawl out.

Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be officially announced the price of 20 euros for a room with a sea view (odd numbers). The quality of the room is like everything else, just a sea view (not very impressive, however). The staff both at the reception and in the dining room are unfriendly and often even rude. If you go to the reception desk and wait for the porter's attention, you will have to wait a long time and you still need to call him. Beer in the all-bar is poured 50/50 with water, to the question "Are you crazy? " we were told "if you want a good beer - buy a canteen at 2.5 dinars (50 rubles) for 0.3". At the same time, we bought beer from them for 2.5 and came to the hall to drink it, you won’t believe it, the waiters asked us not to forget to take the bottles away with us : ) Service : )
The rest of the rooms overlook the street, in principle, if the rooms are after the X48 rooms, then the view is not bad on a busy street and even a little sea is visible, and the rooms up to . . 48 on a quiet street... in general, not very good. There are very few Russians in the hotel. Mostly Algerians and French with Arabic roots. But the friendlier our Russian company of 10 people turned out to be : )
A few words about food. All-inclusive is not worth taking, because. lunch is rather mediocre (however, like breakfast and dinner), and immediately after the hotel exits, a street begins with a large number of cafes, where you can have a hearty meal for 2-5 dinars and drink fresh juice for 1 dinar. The food in the dining room is generally the same as everywhere else in such countries. True, for dessert, only 1 cake and pudding, made from fruits (watermelon, apple or plum). Sometimes they give out something "original" like lasagna or pasta, but the crowd immediately pounces on such food, and if you are not a fan of going to a restaurant 30 minutes before the start of the meal, then you are unlikely to get it.
There is a beach of its own, not fenced, sunbeds and umbrellas are paid, you can just wallow on a towel in the sand (as we did). There is a pool, but very small and always covered with black children. The beach is not very clean, but not very dirty either. There are no ashtrays, so they put out all the cigarettes in the sand nearby.
And yet, between the beach and the hotel there is a road that you need to manage to run across, because. Drivers don't like to let pedestrians pass. A trifle, but unpleasant.

To be honest, the girls and guys who came for the first time on vacation - there was a shock when they saw the room. Yes, and I would not risk taking my girlfriend to such a hotel. But if you are unassuming or don't intend to spend much time in your room, a hotel will do. The hotel does not pull at 3 * (I repeat, but we were guests nearby at the Marabou 3 * hotel - this is earth and sky, there are even TVs and slides in the pool), but perhaps I would put 2.
PS: to be honest and friendly - do not go to this hotel, you will not like it.
