Before taking a ticket to this hotel, read frightening reviews, but still decided. We went from Pegasus. The departure was supposed to be at 11:00, but we boarded the plane at 17:20. We flew safely to the hotel, we were the last to arrive, the local time seemed to be 22-23 pm, so the day was lost. We lived in the left wing on the second floor. The room is good for a three-ruble note: renovation in the bathroom, two beds, two bedside tables, a large closet, a table with a mirror, a small pouf. The balcony overlooked the side of the main entrance to the hotel, there was a table and two chairs. As for the cockroaches in the room: we didn’t see a single one, but we made sure and took dichlorvos with us. As soon as we stopped in, every corner of the room was sprinkled. We talked with a group of girls, they lived on the ground floor, they said: terrible dampness and cockroaches 3-5 centimeters in size, horror. As for the beach: very clean, cleaned every morning. Cons: there was a struggle for sun loungers (as soon as you go to the sea to swim, you come, and you figure out your towel on the sand and horseradish - they work quickly) and an Arab walked daily and shouted: "Hello, Hello,... bananas....". Vacationers are mostly French, Arabs, Russians. Animation - none. What was from the food: chicken every day, there was no soy meat, potatoes, maracons, incomprehensible soup, once there was a vinaigrette, tomatoes, cucumbers, vegetable salad, watermelon, melon every day, cake, trembling pudding; from drinks: sprite, coca-cola, mirinda, mineral water. There was no tea or coffee at all, so take a kettle and a faceted glass with you, because drinks are served in plastic cups (in case you decide to take them to your room), which are then washed and reused. The only plus is that the mineral water is in 0.5 bottles, take as much as you want. The bar was open until 23:00, the assortment is not great: beer, rose wine, white, booze (supposedly national vodka). Tours were taken from a tour operator. Russian-speaking guide, named Ali, with a great sense of humor. I advise you to take a 2-day tour of the Sahara: rich and interesting, you will see beautiful landscapes, in El Jem - the largest Roman architectural monument in Africa - the Roman Amphitheater, which accommodated up to 30-35 thousand spectators. Get acquainted with the way of life of the settlements of the indigenous inhabitants of Tunisia - the Berbers - in the caves of the city of Matmata, drinking palm juice, which the Tunisians call Viagra of the desert. They will feed you with national couscous; visit the city of Kairouan, there you will see an old mosque; you will see sea, desert and mountain oases, admire the waterfalls. The tour also includes: sunrise and sunset in the desert, camel riding (you can get a photo, you will suddenly be photographed when you sit on a camel with a confused face), jeep safari, salt lake. As for souvenirs, she brought: dishes, seasonings. There was an Art Candle store nearby the hotel, but we noticed it on the penultimate day when we were walking around. We went in, and there: very beautiful paintings, and Hand Made candles. All this is done by a woman in front of your eyes. She is Russian, got married and opened her own shop. Money exchange was at the hotel from 9 to 11 days at the reception. Funny waiters. The hotel area is cozy, a lot of vegetation, Cats roam (they are some kind of unusual). Do not go to Italian restaurants, spaghetti is no different from what is served at the hotel for lunch and dinner. Go to Port El Kantaoui (taxi is inexpensive): go to a fish restaurant and grab a bottle of wine. They weren't on the medina, they were afraid.
