4 stars. Hotel complex). I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. For this kind of money, you can find options that are much better, and there are almost no Russian-speaking rooms. The staff barely speaks Russian and looks at you as if you've personally ruined their lives. All the glowing reviews of this hotel on youtube are pure, paid advertising. Don't fall for it. The reality here is completely different. 1. Check-in, room, and building. Check-in went smoothly, even 30 minutes early—the only positive against the rest of the nightmare. We booked a standard room. Inside, there was one double bed (~160 cm) and a single bed. It was uncomfortably cramped for two. We tried pushing the beds together, but they slid apart like old shopping carts. The room's condition was "tired" is an understatement. The renovations seemed hastily done: everything was crooked and peeling. The shower was missing a second sliding door. The shower head is about 1.70 m high—I had to constantly squat, like in a miniature sauna. The entire perimeter of the bathtub is covered in a sloppy, spreading layer of silicone, which has already begun to peel and turn black. The air conditioner is a true rarity from the 90s. Everything is yellowed, and there's no remote control. . It's loud, like an old refrigerator about to fall apart. At night, this hum only reinforced the feeling that you're not in a hotel, but in some abandoned building. On the balcony, there are two plastic chairs, a rickety table, and a slightly rusty clothes dryer. It's scary to hang light-colored clothes—everything is covered in rust. Sunflower seed husks lay around for the past seven days. No one ever cleaned them up. The room is infested with mosquitoes at night. It's hard to sleep. The building itself is gloomy, dark, as if someone forgot to paint it ten years ago. The elevators are tiny, cramped, and incredibly dirty—every descent or ascent feels like an ordeal. Every day, the lobby on the first floor reeked of sewage. The smell was thick, heavy, and inescapable. There are no refrigerators with bottled water or drinks readily available. Everything has to be begged for, like alms. The vegetation on the grounds is more or less normal: there are many orange and grapefruit trees. But even they don't redeem the overall picture of desolation, gloom, and indifference that hangs in the air. The Wi-Fi was stable and free—a rare technical plus in this bleak place. . Service, Hygiene, and Severe Food Poisoning. The bedding seemed clean, but it had a strong, throat-scratching smell of laundry soap. Some of the towels were full of holes. Cleaning was a mere formality: the floors weren't washed, dust lay in layers, and streaks remained on the mirrors until check-out. The worst nightmare: on the third day, both my wife and I suffered severe food poisoning. Either from the local food or from drinks from dirty dishes. We were completely drained of energy for the rest of the trip—weakness, nausea, and a complete lack of energy. By the third day, I just wanted to end my vacation early, pack my bags, and go to another hotel, or at least hold out until the airport transfer. Returning and enduring the flight in such a state was pure hell. Upon arrival, I was immediately issued a sick leave. My vacation was completely ruined. 3. Aggressive Service and a Ruined First Day. On the very first day, when you're still recovered from the road and just trying to lie on a sun lounger, the aggressive scam begins. The spa staff is behaving in the most arrogant way possible: they start pushing peeling and massages on you in public, all over the beach. . They loudly declare that we have "leg problems" and urgently need a procedure. When you refuse, they argue, pressure you, and try to embarrass you. Your mood is ruined within the first hour. The hotel deliberately turns a blind eye to this cynical marketing ploy, targeting tired tourists. 4. Beach, Pier, Sea, and Staff Attitude: The beach is sandy, in a small bay. The water near the shore is murky and unpleasant. To swim in reasonably clear water, you need to swim 60-70 meters out. Near the second pier, there are underwater rocks. Near the first, there is the constant noise of motorboats, the stench of exhaust fumes from the Water Sports Center, and drones overhead. No relaxation. Only irritation. The "lifeguard" on the pier is merely a figurehead and chain-smokes. The handrails and steps are covered in slippery seaweed and moss—gross and dangerous to climb. People smoke everywhere. There are no designated smoking areas. They even smoke near small children at the snack bar. Smoke, cigarette ash, complete indifference. The expensive brand-name sunglasses I forgot on the pier, of course, weren't returned. Let me remind you again: if you lose something at this hotel, you won't get it back. You can't count on the staff being honest. . Lost and found items simply disappear here. Sun loungers are occupied with towels from early morning, despite signs prohibiting them. 5. Food, Restaurant, and Bars: The food is meager and monotonous, a mediocre 4* at best. There's no children's menu. The nuggets are overcooked to the point of being like concrete. After the food poisoning, I developed a strong aversion to this food—it was disgusting even to look at. Finding a table for dinner is a quest among a crowd of hungry people. The tables are often dirty. Drinks were offered to the table only twice the entire week. Most of the staff look as if you personally owe them a large sum. Going to the bar feels like going to war. Ultra All Inclusive here is a joke: Ballantine's is poured with trembling hands, 90% of the glass is ice. Bar glasses and wine glasses are often unwashed. It's no wonder where the food poisoning came from. The only relatively tolerable aspects are the snack restaurant with pizza and burgers and a decent à la carte menu. But even these don't save the overall picture. Bottom line: I have no desire to return to Utopia Resort & Residence 5*. . A gloomy, dark building with a constant sewer stench in the lobby, a loud, old air conditioner, dirty dishes, rude and aggressive staff, smoking everywhere (including near children), lost items that were never returned, and a severe case of food poisoning for both my wife and me, who ended up on sick leave upon our return. This hotel doesn't even remotely live up to its 5-star rating. It's a place that drains your energy and leaves only irritation and health problems. I strongly recommend it. How do you like this?
