Summer has come, and again Turkey ...Again I’m going to rest alone, but this is a plus - I’m my own mistress : ) I chose Antique Roman Palace 4 *, since it suited me in terms of price-quality (good quality for a reasonable price) . Looking ahead, I will say that I was satisfied with the rest.

Now for the points.

Hotel and territory
The hotel has a small territory, where there are a lot of palm trees, flowers, shrubs, soft grass, where you can walk barefoot. The peculiarity of the territory lies in the fact that its part, not visible in the main photos of the hotel, is located near the snack bar on the -1st floor. The bar, as it were, is buried in a garden, therefore it has the name Green Bar.

Everything is thoughtfully arranged and compact. The hotel itself is made in the form of a palace, statues and bas-reliefs are everywhere, above the restaurant there is a golden spire with a winged Nika, which can be seen from afar. In general, the most beautiful hotel in the area - the rest of the hotels look like boxes.
On the territory there is a fountain with goldfish - each the size of a good crucian!

Number
The room was disappointing. Since she arrived alone, they settled in a 2x2 kennel without a balcony. Even a box of chocolates brought from home did not help. : (I came for 2 weeks, all the first week I begged the reception to change my room, but they only fed breakfast, and then they generally said "we all who came alone, we settle in such rooms, others come with their husbands and children, and please show understanding! ".
In the end, I was tired of "fighting" for a room, and thought that happiness was not in the room - after all, I only changed clothes and spent the night there. In general, the room has everything you need - a hair dryer, a TV, a telephone, a bed spacious enough for one person (I think it will be a bit cramped for two), good (individual, not central, as in the whole hotel! ) Air conditioning, cools wonderfully.
In the bathroom, the plumbing is a little outdated (I was surprised when I found valves, not ball mixers), it leaks a little, but these are trifles. Very small bathtub, "sit-down", removable shower. In the bathroom, uncharacteristic for a 4 * nail file, ear sticks and something else, I don’t remember, also from this series were found. The shampoos provided by the maids are normal and can be used both as a shampoo and as a shower gel.
The window overlooks the mountains and the territory of neighboring hotels. For a small baksheesh, or even without it, swans and other figurines made of towels are spun.

Service, staff
The staff really deserves an "excellent" rating. All smiling, sympathetic, ready to answer any question. Almost the entire staff is fluent in Russian. The only pity is that the animation is designed mainly for Germans, and not for Russians, who are the majority in the hotel...
Previously, a Russian girl Sveta worked there, who did gymnastics (moreover, it was a lot of fun!

), worked with children, but then she left, and only Turkish guys remained, who know Russian only at the level of "come on, come on" ...Evening shows are not bad, after the show, those who wish go with animators to a nightclub. At 11 pm the hotel quiets down, which is pretty cool, because the soundproofing in the rooms is not very good, and the corridors are open.
A separate word about the reception. Guest relations manager Yusuf is very friendly and speaks good Russian. During the day, the girl Banu works with him (read and pronounced "BaAnu"), a special hello to her : ))))

Food, restaurant
[view from the terrace of the restaurant] Food in this hotel is a separate story, or rather an ode to delight! Since there is something to compare with, I will say that such a varied and tasty food is not in every top five. Every day there was something new. Many dishes with meat, fish, mushrooms (there were even mushrooms in bechamel sauce).
Every evening something was fried on the grill - of course, from the beginning of dinner there was a long queue, but it moved quickly, and literally in half an hour there were no tourists near the grill - come freely and take as much as your heart desires.
Grilled dishes have always been very tasty, even cutlets, which I usually don't like. I note that the cutlets were natural, not soy. If a dish ended, the supplement was immediately taken out. The assortment of the sweet table is amazing - jelly, puddings, baklava, other Turkish sweets, cakes in the evenings - it is simply impossible not to get better! : ) In the snack bar - slices of pizza, french fries and the "chip" of the hotel - puffs with different fillings (not sweet).
From the fruits in early June there were watermelons (by the way, very sweet), melons, green and red apples, oranges, grapes. From drinks - cola, fanta, fanta lemon, sprite, tea bags and custard (very good), white and red wine, beer, coffee.
It’s a pity that there are no packaged juices, there is “yupi”, which cannot even be called juice ...The waiters serve quickly and unobtrusively, they will look after your child while you go for food.

The restaurant is located on the top floor, the terrace offers an incomparable panorama of the mountains and the sea. There are few places on the terrace, they are often occupied even before the opening of the restaurant. Strawberries, cherries and other fruits we love so much can be bought at the market, which comes on Mondays and Thursdays. There are also markets, but worse and more expensive. I don’t understand those who were indignant there that there was nothing to eat in the hotel ...

Beach, sea, pool
The hotel has an adult and a children's pool, but all children swim only in an adult, they don't want to go to a children's pool : ) In the morning and evening, the pool is in the shade. There is a shallow part, smoothly turning into a deep one, but you can also stand there, the water is somewhere up to your neck. The pools and the area around them are very clean, the area is disinfected every morning.
I liked the fact that the slide does not work by the clock, but when you want, you can turn it on yourself and ride even in the early morning : )
But the beach let us down. It is located across the road - but these are, in principle, trifles, I agreed with the security of the neighboring hotel, where there was an underground passage, and went to the beach through it. In the sand - sticks, chips, there is also garbage, the sand is dusty, when entering the sea, you must first swim, then you can already stand, which is not very convenient for those who cannot swim, and those who have small children. Although there were many families with children. They put armlets on children - and no problem: ) There are big boulders in the sea, so you have to swim carefully so as not to scratch your knee. But we must admit that almost all the beaches in Alanya are like that.
The sea often stormed. Personally, I went to swim on the pier, located to the right of our beach, about 10-15 minutes walk.
The pier is good, there is a security guard from the Taksim International hotel, which owns the pier, but everyone is allowed in, they only keep order. It's better not to go to the pier after five in the evening - the guards leave from there, and at this time the local teenage punks come.
They behave terribly even towards each other, and there’s nothing to say about tourists - they can get nasty, or even throw them off the pier, and the pier is high, so don’t get involved.

Entertainment, animation

On the -1 floor there is a gym with a variety of exercise equipment. Animation is described in the "Personnel" section.

Conditions for recreation with children
[playground] The main contingent of holidaymakers in the hotel - young mothers with small children. In principle, there are conditions for children - a playground, a swing, a sandbox, a children's club house, which is open from 10.30-12.30 and from 14.30-17.00 Children like it there. It's good that the playground is located in the garden behind the snack bar on the -1st floor, where the sun shines only in the morning and evening.
The child will not burn, and it is convenient for mom to keep an eye on him from the snack bar.
The downside is that the children's animator is a Turkish woman who does not understand Russian at all, and the children are mostly Russian. Although the animators often change, maybe there is already another one. As for food, if the child is not spoiled, in principle it is possible to feed him. As far as I know, no one was poisoned. As for what to feed the very young, I can’t say anything - there is porridge in the hotel, but there seems to be no baby food as such. If you are interested in the details of holidays with children in this hotel, read the reviews of those who rested with a child.

Spa and excursion to the Water Planet water park
Separately, I want to say about the wonderful spa. A very relaxing atmosphere has been created there, soft relaxing music is playing, candles are burning, incense is being smoked, the lights are subdued...
There are three massage therapists: Semih, Beto and an elderly Turkish masseuse named Shahrazat, a former nurse. Compared to spas in other hotels, it is very inexpensive.
I did a relaxation massage for 20 Turkish liras (15 dollars), after some time I ordered a "package" - 3 massages for 50 dollars. Massages were: therapeutic (using a special cream), chocolate (I felt like a brown-haired woman in chocolate: ) Ladies, attention: massage is not for the shy, they do it without a bra! ) and stone therapy, or stone massage. I liked the stone one the most.

But the water park is terrible! Guides praise him very much, and in vain! Firstly, water is taken away at the entrance, bags are shuffled. Secondly, at the entrance they give out a card, a simple piece of white plastic, and say: "don't lose it. " What you can’t lose is understandable, but what this card is for is a mystery. Nothing is written on it.
I thought it was a lunch card included in the ticket price, and left it at the cafe with peace of mind.
When I left, they demanded it from me and immediately demanded 5 dollars for its loss. I had to go to a cafe (and the water park is big) and pick it up from there. Why didn’t we immediately warn that this card is needed not only in the cafe, but also for entry and exit? ? ? Thirdly, there are no single circles, there are only double ones, and for those who go there alone, it’s hard to hang around with a double circle, and even drag it upstairs to move out. Yes, it's uncomfortable to ride.
Fourthly, huge queues ...well, this is in any water park, like it or not. And fifthly, the water park is located in the forest, and while you are standing in this very queue, the midge mercilessly eats wet feet. Not fatal, but annoying. And the most unpleasant thing, well, this is probably my personal problem, and yet - I fell down a small ladder.
There is such a slide, without a pool, like a boomerang, in the form of the letter U, after a ride, you get out of it and go down the stairs. I slipped and fell down this ladder. The huge bruise on my thigh hasn't gone away yet...However, this has nothing to do with Antik-Roman, it just happened by the way. Hotel guides sell tickets to Troy Water Park in Belek for $40, Water Planet costs $25.

TezTur - as always, well done. Met and had a great time. But the hotel guides Sheriff and Olesya, in my opinion, are indifferent to everyone and everything, they speak in memorized phrases. I had one small problem, so they could not (or did not want to? ) to solve it. Decided on my own.

In general, my vacation was a success. What do you want. : )
