The hotel is definitely not 4 star. There were much better 3 stars. For a three-star hotel, I also consider such an amount of the following to be unacceptable. The two of us were settled in a double room, in which for some reason 3 beds were barely pushed. The towel rack on the balcony was broken off and lay next to it. The furniture is of very low quality and already worn out, with skewed doors. The handle of the table drawer was broken off. The refrigerator is terrible. The electrical outlet was loose. On the day of entry, the TV on all channels showed a freeze frame with the inscription "Signal Yok". The shower button was broken off and lay around. The seams in the bathroom were smeared with silicone and were dirty black. Hot water for a couple of days was in sharp drops (I burned myself in the shower). In the sink, the water did not pass immediately, but half the sink accumulated. But they cleaned the room every day.
The food was, in general, okay.
In any case, every day there was a chicken in one form or another. There was no other meat. To eat delicious meat dishes, you really need to go to a restaurant. Drinks weren't great. Glasses and cups were not always well washed.

From the basement of the hotel (there is a sauna, a bathhouse and a disco) it smelled strongly of dampness, which was strongly felt on the 1-2 floors.
Attention! Audibility in the room is excellent due to poor sound insulation and the design of the hotel in the form of a well (the doors of the rooms open onto internal balconies from which you can see the 1st floor with a restaurant inside). Disco at night rumbled in full. And in the morning in the room you could hear people jingling dishes in the restaurant : )
There was often a guy on duty at the reception who only understood Turkish.
The lunch pack, which is given instead of breakfast if the departure is very early, consisted of 1/8 of a small cucumber, a slice of cheese, two pieces of bread and a small tomato the size of a chicken egg.
We understood that the Turks in this way made it clear to us how much we should actually eat every day for breakfast : )
Buildings there are, indeed, on both sides of the hotel.
There were no sun loungers and umbrellas of our hotel on the beach (they were allegedly washed away by a storm).
But if you didn’t come to sit at the hotel and lie on the beach, then in general all this is nonsense, because the hotel cannot be said to be disgusting, it simply does not correspond to what was stated. If you have a choice between other 3 stars for less money (or for a longer period) and these alleged 4 stars, then choose the first.
In general, we liked our vacation in Turkey. As others have already written here, take inexpensive excursions to Space-tour (in Mahmutlar, the Russian Lena sells them - she sits under a tent on the main street).
Rest depends on your mood: if you entertain yourself, take excursions, then you can ignore the shortcomings of the hotel (I described them only to make it clear that this is not 4 stars at all).

We definitely liked the excursions: Turkish bath, yacht, jeep safari. And Demre-Mira-Kekova is a long way to go back and forth (depending on how exciting the tour guide on the bus will tell). You can walk around Alanya on your own (see the fortress and Damlatas cave). To visit historical excursions, it is better to relax to the west of Antalya (Kemer, Bodrum) - less to go by bus.
Have a nice rest! : )
