I want to say thank you to everyone who wrote reviews about the hotel, thanks to which we were prepared for many things. I'll start in order. The hotel honestly fulfills its three stars, no more, no less. Our company of 8 people rested from 13 to 27 July 2012. We arrived at 23:00, tired and hungry. The guy at the reception turned out to be sensible, at our first request he ordered and after 10 minutes we were already having dinner. Rooms were given to us immediately after dinner, ie. we settled in without any problems and without bribes. As it turned out later, this young man was the only one of the three who worked at the reception desk, he was adequate, he knows Russian, he can help (I was convinced by myself). The other two... If you could somehow communicate with an older aunt, then the girl there is generally insane. A couple of times I even had to bark at them to make them move. With the safe, too, everything was decided quickly, we took one for all.
A big plus of the hotel is the proximity of the sea, it is right across the road. The movement of cars on it is fast, but rare, so even a younger student can cross the road. Minus in an uncomfortable entry and especially exit from the water due to slippery stone slabs, but whoever wanted to - he swam, we also adapted. The sea is warm, clean, it was the main thing, so the plates did not bother us.
Everything that is written about hotel guides is true. The processing of tourists begins on the bus, when you are told horror stories about street agencies, how dangerous it is for life and wallet. It continues at the information meeting. We also had a guide Leonid, who, at the information meeting, described in vivid colors the horrors of buying excursions on the street and, in the best traditions of circus entertainers, convinced us that "only today and only now can you buy excursions, because all days are already taken and if you don't buy today, you won't get anywhere" and stuff like that. Don't believe! His prices are really high. Realizing that we were not going to buy anything from him, he quickly lost interest in us and we never saw him again. We bought a hammam, rafting, Water World, a yacht trip, a jeep safari and a trip to Pamukkale. Considering that there were 8 of us and we bought tours in bulk, Tanya also gave us very good discounts, so the tours came out to us very economically, and the result was excellent! She honestly even warned about forced arrivals during some excursions to all sorts of factories, so we knew what we were buying. We parted ways with her as friends.

The food was quite tasty, but monotonous. Fruits, sweets every day, salads, pasta, potatoes, rice, very tasty stewed vegetables, sometimes chicken, fish is very tasty, there was meat, but rarely, more often soy cutlets. But we definitely didn’t sit hungry, we won’t be able to lose weight there.
Big minus in the maids. They didn’t steal from us, the floor was washed every day, but towels and bedding were changed only once, so demand it yourself, otherwise you won’t wait. There is a laundry service, one thing - one dollar. An iron can be borrowed from the reception for free.
Animators... Of course, they are. The guys are good, sociable, funny, the children liked them, but they did not particularly puzzle themselves with the entertainment of the guests. If during the day they organized at least something (in the pool, volleyball on the beach), then in the evening - just nothing. Mini-disco for children is 6-7 of the same songs, which already made me sick. The show time was attended by a maximum of ten people. Overused games like "Take a chair" or frankly vulgar contests for participation did not inspire anyone. When it rained for two evenings in a row and the people were frankly bored, not knowing what to do with themselves, they were not visible at all! So don't count on entertainment.
Mahmutlar itself is a calm village, you can walk both during the day and in the evening without fear, you can take a local bus to Alanya, it's no problem at all. In local shops, bargaining is appropriate, it is also better to buy sweets in Mahmutlar before leaving, because on the way to the airport tourists are brought to a confectionery factory, and there prices are 1.5 - 2 times higher. We exchanged rubles for dollars and lira in an exchanger near the hotel, a fruit shop is also nearby, prices are normal: cherries 2-3 lira, apricots 3 lira, i. e. fruits can be eaten.
In general, I think that despite the minor disadvantages, the rest was a success. Sea, sun, good people, for a family with an average income, especially traveling for the first time, a very good option.
