Been to Club Gunes Garden. There were three of us (me, wife and 5 year old daughter). We are from Ukraine from Chernihiv. I write a real review, without any prejudice. Expectations were fully justified. Turkey is not more expensive than Crimea.

Now more. Went overseas for the first time. Prior to that, they rested in the summer constantly in the Crimea or on Azov. The choice of the country (Turkey) came up with only one side - the budget.

2. Number.
Grade 3.

It was building A. Number 214 on the first floor. The first impression was normal. In principle, I knew exactly all the information in advance from the reviews I read. The room is big about 25m2, the balcony is very big about 9m2. Air conditioning, no split system. TV 37 cm diagonally, about 10 channels, 2 Russian-speaking channels (ORT and RTR-sport). An orange tree grew under the balcony, shade, coolness. Two large beds and two folding chair-beds. Everything is practical and rational. Without chic. The furniture is not new, normal. Linen is perfectly white and clean.
The toilet is a decent size, not cramped. Everything is practical. Toilet, washbasin, mirror, shelves, lamps, hair dryer, shower cubicle. But the plumbing, toilet ceiling and detergents, frankly, disgusting. The taps in the shower stall had to be clamped very tightly, because the water did not overlap. Then the wife and daughter could not open. The water from the shower tray was very bad. Detergents (liquid soap in bottles) had a very sharp sugary smell of some flowers. On the third day, the water in the toilet tank ceased to be recruited. I had to disassemble and clean the valve myself. The mosquitoes in the reviews are true. Every evening they had to arrange a war. But the ants were not seen. The remote control of the air conditioner was screwed to the wall and the temperature was set to +25. With a screwdriver, you can easily remove the remote, which was done. The electricity of the entire room was blocked by a special card (key fob).
It was not very convenient, because when leaving, the air conditioner turned off. Therefore, we disconnected the card from the key, put the card back in place and removed it only when leaving the hotel. There was a safe bolted to a shelf in the closet. It cost us $20 for 14 days. But this is optional. You may or may not take it. But the 1st floor is still quieter.

3. Territory.
Grade 5.
A lot has been said about this topic in other reviews that have rested in this hotel. The territory is large, well-groomed, very green. The underpass was not at all a negative factor. Maybe even vice versa. Several diverse small buildings connected with nature are undoubtedly better than one 6-storey building of a hotel-dormitory type. There is a feeling that you are not in a city in a box, but in a country house - in a villa.
The overall impression was a little blurred - this is a generator (a lot is also written about it) and sometimes occasionally unpleasant odors that make their way out of nowhere (maybe from sewer manholes).

4. Nutrition.
Grade 5.

I think that the food is very personal. There was not much variety, there were queues of people for 10 maximum - this is a fact. But otherwise great. None of us have ever complained about stomach problems. There was something to choose. And adding any dish you like is not a problem. It is clear that chicken and turkey dominated, but every 3 days there was veal. Constantly for dinner there was a choice of three hot meat dishes (two fish and one meat, two meat and one fish, or two chicken and veal). Soups, of course, are terrible for our cuisine, but fish and chicken are very tasty dishes. Salads and sweet dishes are normal. The choice is very large. Of the fruits were only watermelons, melons and plums. Not enough. Very pleased with the alcohol.
From 10-00 to 24-00 there is always a choice of beer, white wine, red wine, whiskey, vodka, gin, rake. Whiskey with ice and gin tonic with ice are generally super. Rake tried it - as if he drank cologne. Beer and wine - not so much. No one really limited the amount of drinking. I saw how Russian men took 3 double vodkas without any problems. Dinner was a ritual. The main thing is not to rush, not to get drunk, but just relax and have fun. For my daughter, food was not a problem either. The main thing is not to take semi-finished products and salads, but everything natural - pasta, rice, pancake, scrambled eggs, chicken, tomato, bun, etc. There were no problems with takeaway water. No one has ever made a remark when you pour water or tea into a bottle at night.

5. Service.
Grade 4.
Among the vacationers there were about 90% Russian speakers. There were Germans, Balts.
The attitude of the attendants towards all vacationers was exactly the same, without the slightest hint of belonging to ....Maybe this was the very highlight, what I remember most of all - just amazing politeness, integrity, openness, smiles of the attendants. And this is a fact. Any of the waiters is ready to instantly provide a service or just listen. I met two waiters (Aslan and Ahmed). Constantly communicated with them on various topics. Normal men. They talked a lot about their work. Their work is not easy, however. But in many ways they are the face of the hotel. A little overplayed with obsession and flirting with children. Met the photographer of the hotel (Ali). This one generally knows 4 languages at the age of 25 and it’s just nice to talk to him (he definitely doesn’t fit our saying “Turk”). Chefs are a completely separate issue. Cooking many dishes right in front of you.

Friendly, humorous and not an ounce of rudeness. Room cleaning went well. No one cleaned in our presence and no one asked us to leave. Everything went by itself. You come from the sea - it is clear that someone was there, folded everything, took out the garbage, wiped the floor, etc. The bed linen was changed 3-4 times a week. More towels. However, for the service I put 4, not 5. One situation overshadowed. One day there was a very faint but unpleasant smell in the room. As soon as everything is closed in the room, you come from the street and you feel an unpleasant smell. Checked it out and all is well. Just closed the balcony and windows - appears. The smell lasted for three days. The guy (cleaner) licked everything to our complaints at the reception, but the smell did not go away. I found the source of the smell myself. It was a small (1.5*1.0 m) wool rug. They are simply taken out into the street every few days and washed with powder and a brush right on the pavement behind the hotel (I saw it on one of the trips).
Then they are dried, having previously rolled up into a pipe. That's probably while our carpet dried it up and "marked" a cat or a dog.

6. Sports.
Grade 4.
Every morning I got up at 6-45 and ran. I drove dinner, because otherwise you can swim in fat. Then on the simulators in the fitness room. It's hard to call it a hall. Bungalow with 4 simple machines, barbell and dumbbells. Not much, of course, but it was enough. There would be a desire. Twice I only saw people in the hall doing it during the day. Nobody in the morning. There is also table tennis. I'm not particularly fond of this type of game. But volleyball is constantly - before lunch and after.

7. Sea. Beach. Pools.
Grade 4.
Normal warm sea. Very clean and transparent in the calm. In a storm, it was understandable mutivo. Entry into the sea is pebbles, and then deep and large stones at the bottom. When swimming far, you need to be careful and ready to run into rocks. No towels provided, only mattresses. It was not necessary to borrow anything in advance (unless you want to be near the sea).
You come, the beachboy serves without problems within 5 minutes. The beach is large and sandy. But the sand is not golden, but gray-asphalt. There are a lot of cigarette butts in the sand, although there are urns every three meters. Sunbeds and umbrellas are old. The sea constantly threw pebbles ashore, and then took them away and threw out sand. On the beach there are two boats (single and double canoes) and one catamaran free of charge. The pools are ok. One with fresh water at the reception, the other at the beach with sea water. normal pools. I was pleased that they are with a great depth of up to 1.70m. However, the sea was warmer than the water in the pools.

8. Entertainment. Animation.
Grade 4.

Entertainment is standard. These are the trips that the guide offers (rafting, Turkish bath, Alanya, Pamukal, Water parks, yachts, leather trips, etc. ) or you can buy it yourself cheaper by leaving the hotel and walking 1.5 km in Avsalar. There would be money and desire. Animation is also standard.
7 animators (2 girls and 5 guys). During the day, volleyball, a shooting range from air, darts, beach golf, aqua aerobics, gymnastics. Boring. In the evening at 20-00 disco for children. The German was leading. Everything is in German. From evening to evening the same thing. At 21-00 show program. There were 14 evenings, the program was repeated three times - this is a BINGO game, a show of a collection of leather products and a performance by two Georgians (guys dance normally). And so everything was new. Starting with just dance performances, competitions Mr. Hotel and Mrs. Hotel, ending with a hotel evening or a Turkish night with fireworks.

9. Conclusion.
Score 4.25.
Good and inexpensive vacation for a family with children. Young companies will be bored. All photos can be viewed on the hotel website www. guneshotels. com. There are a lot of them and from a bird's eye view. They provide excellent visibility. If you are interested in asking something, please write to yura@vivat. cn. ua
