When choosing a tour, we liked Turkmen because of its walking distance to the sea and its location almost in the center of Alanya.
My friend and I arrived on July 20.2014 for two weeks. Representatives of the tour operator "Labyrinth" (Odeon) delivered us the latest to the hotel. We traveled for a long time (I don’t remember now, 2 or 3 hours), so I really wanted to find shelter and a roof over my head (and all the accompanying joys of relaxation).
After all the formalities to be observed upon arrival, we were asked to sit on the sofas in the foyer. I can't name this lobby otherwise. Upholstered with wooden slats, the mini-hall looks quite decent, but the chairs-sofas upholstered in brown leatherette, which have collapsed in places, give a resemblance to the security department. Immediately a Turk came from the hamam and began to offer the services of his establishment. It seemed too intrusive to me... And in general, I am not a fan of such barkers. Thankfully a friend signed up.

After that, we were approached by the administrator from the reception, who registered us, with the hotel manager. Ali (receptionist) speaks very good Russian. He explained that there are no rooms at the moment, but they are ready to put us in a 4-bed room with two girls who have just arrived and are also waiting at the reception. Also, Ali promised, in the presence of the manager (Mahmud, in my opinion), that a room would be released tomorrow and we would definitely be settled in rooms with a sea view, in accordance with the reservation. Also, due to the inconvenience, we were promised a free safe (which costs $2 per day) and free Wi-Fi ($5 for the entire stay). We agreed to live with those girls in a 4-bed room for one night.
The girls turned out to be sisters from Belarus. We became very good friends with them, and we are even grateful to the Turkmen Hotel for promoting friendship among its guests. ) The next day, I had to "sweat", demanding that the long-haired manager fulfill the agreements (by number). This cunning fox understands and even speaks Russian only when the conversation is in his interests. Fortunately, I know English, so he could not get out. As a result, my girlfriend and I were moved to our room after dinner. Was with a sea view. With a shared balcony for 3 rooms, you can say - on the roof of the dining room. We were satisfied. True, plumbing and doors with rust, but serviceable. The air conditioner worked. Washed the room every day. Instead of bedspreads, blankets turned out to be short for my height (180 cm) thick waffle sheets. Pastel is clean. The room has 3 beds - one is double and two are single. TV, mini fridge.
The beach is divided into 2 sectors - paid (with mattresses) and free (with partially broken sunbeds). At first, entry into the sea is about knee-deep, then - deeper, where the main part of the vacationers bathe. And all because the depth is formed suddenly and this line is guarded by a wave (which runs into a shallow with all its might) and therefore the water rises up, sweeping away the swimmers and plunging them into doubt whether it is worth continuing. When you overcome this water barrier, the sea is clean and calm. Danger at depth - concrete slabs in the form of pillars. You have to be careful of them - you can get hurt. There is a very good sandy lagoon among the boulders, to the right of the free beach (if you look at the sea). There immediately deep and sandy bottom. But this lagoon is very small.
I missed the hotel juices and mineral water. Coolers were in the dining room and at the bar (how to go through the tunnel to the beach). But it is forbidden to collect water in reserve. It ruins the holiday. In the bar - coca-cola, fanta, red wine, beer (maybe something else, I'm not a fan of alcohol). For an afternoon snack - cupcakes and cakes left after dinner. Also, at the bar for lunch and dinner, they put a samovar and mugs, spoons, sugar.

The food was good in the canteen. Yes, it's monotonous: rice - potatoes, potatoes - rice....Meat - chicken. Fish - a couple of times a week. Grilled breakfasts (scrambled eggs, pancakes), grilled dinners (chicken, mackerel) brought variety. Grill - three times a week. From fruits: sliced oranges (sweet) and watermelon. 1-2 times gave melon. In general, a standard set for a troika in Turkey. Of course, on the third or fourth day, many vacationers began to have interruptions in the intestines: either empty or thick, understand me correctly. )
Shopping near the hotel is not great. A couple of shops on the left when you exit the hotel. Textiles and grocery souvenirs. On Mon and Thu (if I'm not mistaken - check with the reception) there is a bazaar. You need to go a little to the left of the hotel (-100 meters, maybe - 200). You can see the tents there. In the market, everything can be bought by haggling. And the range is rich. I didn't notice that the prices there are cheap. Maybe because we went during the collapse of the ruble.
In general, the hotel deserves a four on a five-point scale. Ali at the reception is very attentive to tourists, executive, but a gossip - what the world has never seen. Everything he needs to know. More precisely, what is necessary and not necessary. The manager (long-haired) is cunning. However, the hotel staff is friendly.
From animation - children's disco every evening. Then adults could dance to the hits of modern and past years. Every evening, for $10, animators took those who wished to nightclubs. At the end of July, a lot of Turkish tourists appeared in the hotel. The Muslim holy month has begun. They began to include not only Russian or English-language music, but also Turkish motifs. It was very interesting to watch Turkish dances.

The fact that just at the beginning of August 2014 our tour operator collapsed, we were brought to the airport and only then we found out that our plane was gone, is already remembered as an adventure. Then it was no laughing matter. Thank God, "Labyrinth" (Odeon) confirmed this time, its reputation that it does not abandon its tourists. We were taken to a hotel (Oasis) in Kemer for a day. And those who bought vouchers from other tour operators were waiting for this day at the Antalya airport. It’s terrible to imagine: with children, funds are running out or spent at all, there are simply no benches - only on the street, I generally keep quiet about food. Abandoned people. Instead of Chelyabinsk, our plane landed in Koltsovo (Yekaterinburg), because. in Chelyabinsk we were not accepted due to fog (rather - smog).
This trip was a very memorable one for me. Lots of impressions.
