And we decided to go to Turkey. More precisely, Alanya was proposed, a 3 * Turkmen hotel in the city center on the first coastline. I’ll immediately make a reservation here that we know how to relax, that before this vacation, I worked 8 hours a day for 1.5 years, the rest was very desirable, so it was extremely difficult for me to spoil my vacation. Went with my husband and were very pleased.
Turkey met us with hot humid air. With minimal red tape and a quick visa for $ 20 per person, we went to get our luggage. But unfortunately, the plane of the football team landed at the same time as us, the members of which confidently stood near the tape, where, judging by the electronic scoreboard, our luggage was supposed to be issued. Well, as it usually happens, it turned out that a bunch of footballers surrounded by a crowd of paparazzi have to get their luggage BEFORE ordinary Russian tourists who wait will not break. We were quickly moved to the scoreboard, and in total, we spent about an hour and a half on this procedure.
Representatives of Pegasus were found very quickly, loaded into a large air-conditioned bus. The way to Alanya takes about 2-2.5 hours. We were brought to the store (it’s their custom - tourists who have just got off the plane and dreaming of a shower are stuffed into the store - how can they go to the hotel without the necessary Turkish souvenirs !! ), where they marinated for about an hour. Under a magical pretext: the driver and guide are tired (well, of course, 2 hours is such an enchantingly long road that you can’t do without a cup of coffee). Near the shop there is a wonderful cafe where they speak Russian and offer goat milk ice cream (1 euro) - I highly recommend it.

Our hotel was the last one on the bus route. From the outside, it looks like buildings arranged in a square, in the center of which is a pool. Near the reception is clean, the staff does not speak Russian. Usually tourists there are asked what kind of view from the window they would like to have. Well, the choice is offered by the sea or mountains, while indicating that the rooms with mountain views are more spacious. On the
That's what we bought. There was already a view of the sea, but we have not yet looked at the mountains. We came to the room and were a little stunned: if what we saw when we opened the door was a “spacious room”, then what do they offer with a sea view? Zone in the closet? Room 305 was located in the main building (the highest) on the third floor. As soon as you enter, there is a door to the bathroom. There is a shower and a toilet. Of the pleasant needs: liquid soap, toilet paper, 4 towels. Next is the room. She is single and small. In the center is a large bed, in front of it is a cabinet with a TV set. The cabinet has drawers, but they do not slide out. there is a bed! An adult can squeeze between the cabinet and the bed, but very slowly and only one. From the furniture there is also a wardrobe and a bedside table. The room has air conditioning which blows very well and cools down this small room pretty quickly. The bed is large comfortable two bedroom (75% of the room is approximately). The room also had a balcony. It has a plastic table (like in a cafe on the waterfront) and 2 plastic chairs. The view is really beautiful: when you look into the distance at the horizon line, you see high mountains rich in vegetation, the tops of which are hidden in haze and fog in the evenings. It was great to sit on the balcony in the evening after dinner, when the sunset colors the sky in reddish-red colors, in such lighting the mountains are stunningly beautiful. And if you look down, under the windows of the hotel on the left there is a picturesque stable, from which horses are taken out in the mornings and evenings, hens and roosters run around the stable, the movement of which is accompanied by the sounds of stormy delight. And on the right is the auto-parsing workshop. There around the clock on a flashing yellow light tow truck bring broken cars into the trash and unload them. Unnecessary spare parts from auto-disassembly lie next to the office. And many cars awaiting their sad fate can also be seen directly from the room. There is a car park in the center.
Spread things out. We went to explore the surroundings: the territory of the hotel is small. In the courtyard there is a small swimming pool with lighting and a children's slide. Opening hours of the pool: 9-18, slides - 10-11.15-16, at other times in the pool - chlorination, there is no water on the slide, but the children frolic and ride on it all day, not noticing the lack of water. There are a lot of sun loungers by the pool, some of them are broken, but during our vacation (08/09/2009-08/16/2009) there was never a situation for us to come to the pool, and there was nowhere to lie down. The people are multinational (Turks, Germans, Americans, Russians), behave decently for the most part. The sea is across the road from the hotel, and there is an underground passage from the territory. Private beach (2 minutes walk from the room), divided into 2 parts: paid (new sunbeds, umbrellas, mattresses will be yours for 1.5 bucks for the whole day) and free (half of the sunbeds are broken, the other half do not raise backs, umbrellas) , people resting in a three-ruble note are prone to frugality and take free sunbeds in the morning. The sea is clean, transparent, diving, we found a small star, a lot of shells. Periodically, jellyfish come in the morning. Walking to the right of the beach, we found a photo-hygienic pier lined with huge stones. On the stones in the evenings (after 9 o'clock) we saw small crabs. Minibuses rush past the hotel, ready to take you to any part of the city for less than a dollar. Behind the hotel (to the right of the exit), a 5-minute walk away, there is a market (3 days a week) - you can buy T-shirts, trousers, summer sundresses, various souvenirs, baseball caps, etc. , for a song market (in side of the mountains) there are food stalls. Cherries, sweet cherries, any fruits, vegetables, fresh figs, watermelons, melons at the best prices (1 dollar per kg of ripe cherries). In these markets, local residents stock up, and for tourists the same thing is sold along the embankment for the 3rd price. Around the hotel there are many shops, restaurants (to the right 10-15 minutes). A car rental was found near the hotel (from $ 35 per day with insurance, without gasoline), a tour agency that provides the same services as Pegasus, only much cheaper. At the meeting with the guide, we were bred according to the scheme: they-don’t-answer-for-you-it’s-unsafe, but this is certainly a personal matter for everyone, and we, being the 4th time in Turkey, know that safety depends on the attentiveness and accuracy of the tourist himself , and not from the one who takes you on an excursion and did not intend to overpay the triple price. In the travel agency where we rented a car, they gave us a map of the city and explained in detail in good English where to go and what to see. As a result, we independently visited the water park, the ancient amphitheater of Side, the port of Side and the wounds in it, Cleopatra Bay with a wild beach. If necessary, additional Information about excursions, in a personal, I think not everyone is interested in the details of my adventures.
A little more about the hotel: there is a bar by the pool. All local drinks and cocktails are included in the price. The bartender makes delicious cocktails. Meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner. The food is good - mostly vegetables and dishes from them. There is very little meat (in a week we saw 1 time a chicken, 2 times - semi-finished cutlets). The peculiarity of the restaurant is also that the hot dishes at dinner (those cutlets / meat / fried vegetables) are served by the cook in portions: a piece on the nose. And to get the coveted delicacy, you have to stand in line for several minutes. Desserts contain a lot of oil (the Turks insist that this is syrup and that the dessert is poured over with it is nothing more than a feature of the national cuisine). Bottom line: a delicious cookie soaked in sunflower oil (I think you guessed the taste). For lunch and dinner, in addition to the main dishes, they give fruits. We managed to taste peaches, apples, melons and watermelons. The restaurant is small and gets a little hot.

In general, there was a pleasant impression of the rest and positive emotions from the hotel. The key to success, I think, is the ability to look at all the omissions and shortcomings with humor and not spoil the rest for ourselves.
