We stayed at the Kleopatra Ramira Hotel for 10 days in August.

I'll start with the positives. The biggest advantage of the hotel is the food. I think this is why many people come here. For a relatively budget hotel, the food selection is truly excellent. Everything is delicious: a huge selection of fruits, lots of vegetable salads, several meat dishes, and always fish. I'd especially like to mention the chef – he regularly comes out into the dining room, watches the guests eat, and keeps the place tidy. He's always neat and clean. It's clear he truly takes his job seriously. The service in the dining room is also excellent: the staff is friendly, clears tables quickly, and keeps the place clean.

The only downside to the dining room is that if you want a glass of wine, you have to get it from the bar, and in August, there was a huge line. Often, after seeing that line, you just don't want to order anything. Perhaps the situation is much easier in other months.

Now, about the negatives.

The cleaning and condition of the room left much to be desired. Even leaving a tip for the cleaning staff doesn't guarantee a high-quality cleaning. The shower stall wasn't always cleaned properly. The bed linens were often incredibly pilled—sleeping on them literally felt like sandpaper. They might change the linens after contacting reception, but each time is an added stress: you have to write, explain, and achieve what should be a given in a decent hotel.

Our room was also far from the best condition. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but the floors were swollen, as if they had been flooded, and there was black mold in the bathroom. The sliding shower doors were heavily oxidized, uneven, and looked as if they could fall out at any moment.
The balcony door was a separate story. Upon check-in, it wasn't working properly. This was especially inconvenient and unsafe with a small child, as the door couldn't be closed properly and the lock didn't lock properly. After our repeated requests, a repairman was eventually called and the door was repaired, but a few days later, it stopped working again. Two days before departure, the problem recurred, and the lock again didn't close properly.

There was also an unpleasant incident with Guest Relations at reception. The receptionist raised her voice at me and yelled at me in front of other guests. I consider this behavior completely unacceptable.

A very serious issue is the cats on the hotel grounds. There are indeed a lot of them. When a cat scratched our child until it bled, we contacted the hotel. They explained to us that they were stray cats that come and go, and that the hotel was not responsible for them. As a result, we had to go to the city hospital and have our child vaccinated against rabies. For a family with a small child, this is extremely stressful.
So, if you're traveling with children, be sure to take this into account. A child might just want to pet a cat, but instead of relaxing, you'll end up visiting city hospitals and getting vaccinations.

The children's pool. I really liked it at first, but on the last day, the small children's pool was in terrible condition: the bottom was covered in some kind of debris, and the water was cloudy. After swimming, my skin was covered in some kind of waxy film. I don't know what happened to the water, but in my opinion, it was unsafe for a child to swim in that condition.

The noise level is very high. If you and your neighbors have the bathroom/toilet doors open, you can hear almost everything. The walls are very thin. If your neighbors are quiet, there's no problem. However, they changed neighbors within 10 days, and the last ones were very noisy: they were shouting, talking loudly, and laughing, even at night. We wrote to reception, and they promised to look into it. After the call, the neighbors did indeed become quieter, although it's unclear whether this was due to the hotel's intervention. So, be aware: soundproofing is a serious issue here.
Bottom line: for August, and considering it's a relatively budget hotel, the main draw is definitely the food. Delicious, with a wide selection, good ingredients, and an excellent chef and service in the dining room. However, there are some serious issues with the comfort and condition of the rooms: old bed linens, black mold, the condition of the shower, issues with the balcony door, strong noise, a dirty children's pool, and the cat situation.

If the Kleopatra Ramira Hotel's price is significantly lower than other hotels during high season, it's worth considering as a budget option. But if the price is comparable to higher-end hotels during normal season, I'd choose a different hotel. For the same price, I'd expect much more comfort, safety, and a room in decent condition.
