We were here in August 2005 from a German company - we live in Germany. The hotel used to be called Konakli Hane, now Sahara beach. But, unfortunately, we couldn’t find any reviews for the new name before the trip, and only when we were sent the documents and I read the old name, looking on the Internet, I was simply horrified, although on Russian sites - unlike German reviews are not so bad.

Unfortunately, the bad reviews turned out to be true, although we didn't make a 5 star claim and were very happy with 3 stars in Spain and even less in other European hotels. But as warned, Turkey has its own stardom and has nothing to do with Europe.

Now, in order: the worst thing is that the products here are either not fresh, or the juices are diluted periodically with tap water (you can’t drink water in Turkey).
As a result, all three of us got terribly poisoned on the second day, and my husband had to call a doctor (100 euros).

There is an ambulance in front of the hotel all the time, and half of the guests come to dinner with imodium and bad stomach pills. after the poisoning, we ate very carefully, but, sorry for the diarrhea - included in the "all inclusive" of this hotel. I especially do not recommend eating cold salads and snacks that stand for several days in the heat.

The room is small, but it could be seen from the photographs, but the fact that the door of the closet, balcony, the sink was broken was no longer surprising. They speak at the reception, mostly in Russian (some in German), so there should be no problems for our people. But if something is broken, it is better to solve this problem through your company, and not through the hotel management (you complain to your tour operator, he makes a thrashing at the reception). So they fixed our phone and something else, because we could talk ourselves until we were blue in the face.
The great joy also lies in the fact that almost every day they turn off the light, then the water, then all at the same time. In the morning there is no water because the pool is filling up. Seriously, this is how we were answered at the hotel. The best part is that in the heat of 40 degrees, almost half the time the air conditioner did not work.

Sometimes the lights were turned off throughout Konakli, but in good hotels a generator should work, in the Sahara it also worked, but apparently weak. Not only that, this was apparently not enough for the management, and the air conditioner began to be turned off at night - simply out of economy - in the wild heat.

We were happy only when we returned from this horror back. We wrote a complaint and hope to get at least part of the money back for this nightmare - all this "pleasure" cost almost 1900 euros. And I assure you, for Germany this is a lot of money.
