Overall Impression: Great hotel for the price range.

Territory and hotel
The hotel is medium in size, but due to this it gives the impression of a comfortable location of various recreation areas. The hotel building is one, divided into left and right wings, 6 floors. The advantage of the rooms overlooking the courtyard (there is no sound of the road) and front rooms with sea views (but there are very few of them). Rooms facing the road are really a bit noisy if you sleep with an open balcony at night. The noise of the air conditioner was not felt because it was a very comfortable night temperature for an open balcony at night. It was not hot during the day (we went at the very beginning of the season).

We had rooms with normal furniture (there was not even a hint of "extended use" anywhere), in the room there was a 32-inch plasma TV, a minibar (free of charge with soft drinks filled once a day), a large double bed + one extra bed for children. San node of normal size, plumbing worked without problems. The rooms have free WiFi. Beach towels are right in the room. You can change them for 1 euro for fresh ones. We had bathrobes and slippers in our room. But they say they are not given to everyone : )
I really liked the lobby: made in European style, spacious, soft sofas, a bar in the middle, a separate business area, live music in the evenings. For those who like to sit with laptops, there are sockets and free Wi-Fi.
The pools are not deep (maximum 1.50m) but suitable for sports games. There is a separate pool with slides (3 pieces). I really liked the beach.
A very convenient format, as for the Alanian coast - firstly, its own, secondly, close to the pool and bar area (do not miss entertainment), thirdly, a decent size of the beach. With pebbles, of course, you have to put up with it. On the beach and at the entrance to the sea, it is large. But the descents from the pantone are very comfortable and not slippery.
There is an amphitheater with a stage for evening events, courts, 2 tables for small tennis, an area with slot machines, shops, a mini market, an Internet cafe, a snooker table, a disco bar.
I really liked the heated indoor pool (free of charge) in the SPA area: on one side it opens onto a small greenhouse with trees, “antique” statues, birds and other beauties. Opens at 8 am, no one is there in the morning.

Contingent
We were very surprised by the huge number of elderly Germans. But I think this is because of the seasonality - May is the most ideal month for them.
One of the German couples we spoke with said that this was their eighth time at the hotel (they have visited Turkey 24 times in total, traveled absolutely the entire coast, and come to Meryan for the 8th time in a row). Of the Europeans, there are many French and Dutch. The CIS was represented by only 10-15%. And mostly non-metropolitan residents. 100% family friendly hotel. I really liked the atmosphere of comfortable communication (of course, possibly due to the limited number of "fingered and eternally dissatisfied ours" : ))
For those who want to hang out in the nightlife, I advise you to choose something closer to the big city, because the local discos are at a fairly long distance.

Food and service
The variety and quality of cooking was absolutely normal for me. It is clear that you should not expect lobsters, foie gras or other delights. But in its category, the hotel provides excellent food.
Very tasty turkey, in all types of cooking. The only thing that could be improved is the fish dishes. For my taste, in all types of fish there were very bones. But it made up for it with the amount of meat selection.
No one has ever had even a hint of "bad" after eating. But we always treat local salads and meat with legumes with caution and always take it “for testing”. And we do not drink ayran. You need to have strong immunity to it : )
I really liked the unobtrusiveness of the waiters. Especially in comparison with Egypt.

Entertainment
Animation is one of the strongest that came across in hotels. Maybe because we had a desire to participate in almost all sports events.
But 2 days after our arrival, we had our own large international company, which, instead of passive wallowing under the sun, had fun with useful sports from morning to evening (and German pensioners often gave odds to everyone else: ). I really liked how they worked with the kids in the miniclub! Very diverse games, support in all languages. Hotel discos, of course, are far from the club level (and it was not the season yet). But with a large company and animators there were some very fun evenings. At the disco, drinks, including local alcohol, are free.

It can be useful :
- in the room, all electronics work from an electronic key, which is usually given 1 for two. That is, when you leave, nothing works, the air conditioner turns off.
To ensure that there is always electricity in the room, at the reception you need to ask for a special card for electricity, which can be permanently inserted into the key slot.

- it is necessary to undergo peeling in the Turkish hammam on the first day. But in a hotel in the Spa area, this service will cost you about 50 euros. We bought a trip to the hammam from our tour operator for $35 (to a specialized hammam center). Take away, bring at any convenient time, 2.5 hours of procedures: Finnish sauna, salt grotto, jacuzzi, mud pool, Turkish bath on hot stones, foam peeling, massage. After the procedures, the tan fits perfectly (of course, subject to the rules of safe tanning).
- the question of tips is always relevant. But it is worth remembering that Turkey is a country with much higher salaries than African resorts like Egypt, Tunisia.
The usual $1 for a cleaning lady in exchange for nice little animals made of towels is absolutely appropriate here, but you can give more for the excellent location of the waiters. This is IMHO, of course.
- at the bar near the La Carte restaurant at 14-00 there are delicious hamburgers and pizza, and at 16-30 they prepare insanely delicious puff pancakes
- if there is a desire to go to a local disco, the details can be obtained from Gekan (Garik) from the animators : )
